has anyone attempted to do this themselfs

ive pulled it all apart but am considering the complexity of replaceing this

im going to do cam chain tensioner, rings, and a few other bits aswell, but as i cant find hte book online for a 96 i think im gonan for out hte dollars and buy a real book not an online one.

is this a doable thing for someone with patience and a little bit of technical knowledge? or should i get a shop to do the big end and ill do the rest?

Big end? Are you talking the big end of the rod? If so then if you can folow directions, and you have access to the stuff needed, then go for it.
