How far down grinded do you ride your knee pucks until you change them out? I'm afraid of wearing them too long, getting more and more lean before I touch down and causing a low side..

Don't worry about crashing - you can lean much further after your knee touches initially - you just move your leg inward towards the bike - so those few mm won't matter.
