It's great to see that we are getting more choices here in AZ but with the prices they are asking, it's just as easy to drag the bikes to Cali or Vegas. The track in New Mexico (near Las Cruces) also has much better cost than the Phoenix ones. I'm hoping that another track other than Firebird becomes available eventually because it's there price gouging that makes the track days cost too much.

i know Ron from TAZ pretty well and have been involved in their trackdays for a while now.
i'd like to say that it's the organizers charging all the money but the reality is that our beloved tracks here in AZ are the ones ripping us off. back in the day at PIR ron needed 32 people to show just to break even. firebird isn't much better either. everybody makes the same statement about the cost, and i agree totaly, but there are a lot of costs involved, like haybailes, ambulance, insurance is a killer and so on but the biggest chunk goes to trackrental. until the local tracks stop ripping the organizers off we won't get a break either.

the only reason we got booted from PIR is because the track could get more money from car clubs.

hey guys, A buddy I used to work with mentioned a $125 track day from some sponsor. I will find out what it is and try to post it here. I think it is for the 25th too.

I kind of stated the fact that Firebird overcharges in my post but I guess I wasn't clear enough. I heard a rumor that SCCA was putting in a huge facility up there for cars and bikes and hope this comes to reality. Otherwisse I don't mind driving a bit to get on what I feel is a better track for about the same cost (once you factor in getting to the place).
