I knew I shouldn't be riding during the holidays but it was so pretty I got my k5 gsxr at lunch and was traveling down the right lane and looked back no cops and popped her up around 70mph. I ride a short one maybe a 100ft put it down. And look back to the left and see a cop in the left lane getting over fast. Oh crap I thought but for some reason I decided to pull over instead of running.

The cop says GET OFF THAT BIKE and tells me that I am the type of person that gives motorcycles a bad name. Cuffs me and puts me in the back of the car and calls the wrecker to come get my bike. I asked him if he rode and he said yes a Harley and I said that is cool Ilke riding those too. And he ask me who I rode with and I told him a few of my riding buddies. He said you know him huh and I said yes sir. And he told me listed dude I am sorry but I got to take you in my supervisor saw us as he went by. And I told him I understand.

A few more minutes go by and he is letting me out. I am sooo stoked and thankful. I thank him and Jesus numerous times and put my gear back on and take the bike home and got my truck. That was sooo close.

damn i aint never had them put the cuffs on me but have gotten some tickets for neglegent driving and yes the cops are usually not very freindly if they catch ya on one wheel

It is funny you mentioned those roads. We did them only a couple a weeks ago. They were fun. But going through the shadows of the trees on the curves is freaky. And it only takes one deer you know. And don't forget about the gravel. Btw do you drag knees on those roads?

i think i responded over on the other thread. i've knocked them a few times - but like I mentioned though, i go out to the hill country and try to stay some what controlled. My body actually restricts me from totally relaxing out in the streets. I just can't do it. I'll haul ass compared to most, but I'm probably still way slower and not as comfortable as in a track enviornment. Your probably just as fast or faster. if you've ever met John (04 blue/white gsxr 750) He FLYS on the streets like mad. He rides with quite a bit of different people. He leaves me on the street. We run the same times on a track.

well as I am heading up north from texas to north dakota. i stop in ardmore, ok for gas. Just a little ways after I get back on 35N I pass a highway patrol and I figure I was goin about 85 in a 75 and as soon as I seen his brake lights go on in my mirror I bolt and I am talking hauling azz. I am passing any which way I can and end up passing in between too many semis and cars as the truckers must have called ahead because I came upon two semis side by side weaving back and forth across the highway in unison trying to stop me. Well i hug the right should about a foot away from the grass and till I can fly by. and i keep on flying. The next obstacle is construction. turns out to only be an overpass they are working on so its short and I decide to slow down to 60 to go through and lucky for me I thought there sat a cop in the medium just picking up speeders. Well I am going the limit so he doesnt even bat an eye. As soon as he is outta sight I pick the pace up to a medium 140 mph or so and continue on and right about two miles before norman, ok I pass a highway patrol setup to catch me Just so happens there is a semi in between me and him as I pass so he cant tell If I see him and of course I did and booked it some more. Well i decide its time to get off the highway and thats where I fucked up about two miles ahead of the third cop I can roaring off a flat offramp and dont realize how fast I am goin and panicked and went straight off the road into some grass sloping slightly downhill and a shallow muddy ditch and an up hill followed by and onramp. well i hit and mud and roll off the bike and flip around till I land on my back and just sat and waited for a few seconds for the cop to slap me in cuffs and throw me in an ambulance headed for the hospital. then to jail get bailed out and sit in a tiny gas station for 11 hours till a friend or two come pick me up and take me to get my bike out the impound. went back 4 days later and went to court and got deferred judification reckless driving exceding 140 mph and passing on the center line. why? they could prove I was runnin and they never clocked me. they say I went 67 miles in under 20 minuter(impossible) and I end up paying a 270$ fine

i figure iwent about 185 top and averaged 175 the entire time

we both live in San Antonio and you darn well know there are several orgainzed stunt teams here who get LEGAL permission to stunt and peforom in various parking lots all over town and in Austin. I've personally spent an evening just talking with mike from 3sick6 and how their team has come along.

dude you need to chill out. You are a bad representation of us in our community. Not to mention, going to stunt websites and saying what you did will get you a snapping.

I do not only stunt, I ride the twisties.

Basically its like this. Ghost made a very bad decision. If the man IS 40, you'd think by this point in his life he'd mature a bit and control himself. Take a look at my situation. I had a big incedent which got me a bit bent out of shape. No one was injured, hurt, or anything. A few people were pissed, I had my emotions. etc.

But for me, I KNOW myself. I and i know I could put myself into a situation where I'd lose my license, I could die, others could die, basically alot of problems. So what I would do is ALWAYS take it to the desolate back roads. You have to decrease you chances or problems arising by things caused by YOU.

I underestasnd that you pulled over, etc and a mistake was made. I would be pissed too. But the Ghost guy is not using his hea.d

I am selling my bike and refusing to ride it. I think it was some sort of calling, ironic whatever, etc that 3 MAJOR things happened to me that day. I am not getting back on it. So I am selling it. To avoid headaches for society.

Do I want to? FUK NO!. But I have to do what's best. I bought a little 50, wheeliing that little guy and playing like a grown child. I have been spotted and WATCHED in the same parking lot by 8 different police officers. NOT ONE said anything or gave me a ticket.

I messed around in a parking lot tonight for 3 HOURS! Right next to the busiest street in the area. Under BRIGHT lights. And YES, a cop slowed and went by. Did NOTHING.

Its harmless looking toi the novice, not ONE person has call the police. My neighbors hear me messing around in the lot across the street. But no on cares.

Bottom line is, IF YOUR LIKE ME, and going to mess aroudn a bit too much, then get something to where you can have your fun without worry.

Het a dirt biek to get your stunt out, get an old beater sport bike and drive it to stunt spots. That way, you are doing what you want to, but everyone is alot safer, and everyone is happy.


that's the bottom line.

We need to make thing easier for all of us.
For the cops, the civilians, you, and keep a good light on sport bikes. The way they are banning shit, that law may pass where riders have to have a sensor of some sort installed to wehere if you go over a speed limit, you get sent sa ticket.

Listen, I don't run from the cops. Well I did once but he was undercover so he don't count. I know I am old and it is pissing me off. I am not use to being responsible and crap. I live for the moment and I got into sportbike riding late in life only been riding them maybe 3 years now. So I didn't get act like an idiot like alot of ya'll got to and get away with it because you were young and stupid or whatever. So give me a break.

I know I am considered old an should know better and all that crap. But it was so fun to see the thumbs up from chicks and kids and cars when you do a wheelie by them on the freeway. It made me feel good to entertain them while they drive down the rode. I guess I have always been a show off and stunting a sport bike on the freeway is the perfect vehicle to do it.

After the cop incident and I am having so much fun doing track days I have actually mellowed. The last few times I rode on the street I maybe only popped three or 4 wheelies. I am slowly trying to ween myself from wheelieing on the street. And man, it is hard now I understand why herion addicts have a hard time quitting because wheelies at high speed has bound to be a better rush than stupid dope. But I am trying to control myself and take it to the back roads and do it. I just don't like doing the slow ones as much so parking lots don't do it for me. I like high speed stunting for some reason.

I guess you can tell I am flat dab in the middle of my middle age crazies. I don't feel 40 well I do sometimes in the morning, but being 40 and acting like your 40 really sucks. You will see once you get there.

I will miss the little kids giving me the thumbs up and and the whole families waving at me but I guess I got a grow up sometime. But now what do I have to look foward in life as I get older haviing someone changing my underwear man that doesn'tt sound like fun. I guess I better hire a a goodlooking nurse to make it halfway enjoyable even though it probably won't get hard anyway.

feb 6 and feb 15

lstd at TWS for the 6th
MSR Cresson for RS on the 13th

RS has a saturday event March 3rd at MSR Houston
LSTD has a friday event Feb 17 at Oak Hill - but that MIGHT be only for racers but I could be wrong.

Actually they have a longhorn track day in houston on 2/24/06 too. I am doing that one how about you gimpsta? I am still debatin the one in college station dang I hate that drive. I will also be doing the RS one in March too.
