Does it make the bike stick better when you hang off because some of your weight is on the ground therefore, less weight on the tires? At my last track day I was WAY off the bike on the second day and it felt like I was just being pulled through the turns by the bike, not really riding it you know? Am I on the right track? If you get too far it defeats the purpose. Leaning off the bike shifts the center of gravity, that is why you need at least half of your ass on the bike so there is weight on it still. For a good read get a copy of "Twist of the Wrist II", it will help a lot.

Hanging off the bike allows you to conserve traction by decreasing lean angle. So yes...hanging off helps you stick better.
