I need help finding a relatively aggressive suspension setup for my '01 GSXR1000 for a few planned track days coming up. I just traded up from my TLR but now I am having trouble finding the right setup. Maybe I am just not yet used to the bike but I could still use a little help. I am a 185lbs. rider with intermediate level experience on my TLR...any help would be appreciated.

That should come first..also for your weight, ya may need to get some hefty'r springs..Or after setting the sag, ya might want to add a touch of preload at both ends..Also ya didn't say why ya didn't like your set up..too soft, ??? here's a alink to Circuit 1 ..they have some info. that may help..Also, there's a few guys here that do track days on 1k's..like Stitches, he weighs a tad more than you, and I think he has the stock suspension on his..

I'm a setup MORON images/icons/smile.gif

seriously though.. Contact Pat from Circuit 1.. The setup stuff on their website helps a bit, as do the problem/solution stuff.

I have a gsxr 1000 and I do a lot of trackdays on the stock set up. I would say that my riding ability puts me in the middle, not real fast but I seem to get better on each outing. For me the stock set up is ok, maybe as my skill level gets higher I could make changes but for now it does everything I want it to do, oh, and I weigh 200lbs. Just my two cents.
