Did a track day there in June. The track is good but has a few tar spots which make finding a good line more difficult than it should be. All in all though a great track. You guys have fun out there graemlins/thumbup.gif

I got 1 lap in with the camera before our professional-duct-tape job let go. Only managed a 2:44... not only were the tires cold (we did it after lunch) but I was so paranoid about losing the camera (Bentz trashed camera #2 on us last year in another horrible tank-cam accident...) that I totally backed down.

I've got the video up here: http://www.nastyperformance.com/Jim/RoadAmerica/RA.html

I did get myself down to consistent 32s by the end of the day Tuesday - and am now in the consistent 28s after racing last weekend. Still not fast enough....

I have no idea what kind of bike it was that passed me... at least a Gix750, might've been a 1000 (there were quite a few of them up there that day.) I couldn't tuck at all behind the windscreen... sitting bolt-upright on the bike kinda limits top speed images/icons/wink.gif (Not to mention it's a little hairy!)

We used to hang out primarily in Union (backroads just west of Rt.47) We haven't done much street riding this year. Dan converted his bike over to racing-only duty, and altho I picked up another Gix to ride on the street, I haven't really touched it, and will probably sell it in a few weeks since it's just tying up money I can use elsewhere. My job keeps me busy enough that if I have time to ride on the street, it's usually spent doing maintenance on the racebike, doing laundry, etc.

Whoops... keep forgetting to check this thread. Sorry Rob!

I hear ya about Union... I haven't been out there more than 2-3 times this year, aside from doing a few wheelies. Most of my freetime is sucked up with work on the house, maintenace on the racebike, etc.

Dan didn't race. He had a little miscommunication with the CCS officials. He had a show that Friday night, so he wasn't planning on racing at all on Saturday. He called CCS and asked if it was ok that I hand in his registration and money on Saturday for him (since I planned to be in Elkhart Friday night.) They told him it was cool, no problem. Well when I got there, they wouldn't let it happen. Needless to say, he wasn't a happy camper.
