Hello All,

I want to start learning how to semi launch my bike this year and I want to be able to save my clutch at the same time. Any suggestions on how much the stock clutches can take??

if you are going to try to take the bike to the drag strip and launch hard go ahead and buy a new clutch and have it waiting. to launch HARD you will kill your clutch.

If you ride the clutch the whole way through the launch (out to the 60 ft mark) then yeah you're gonna distroy your clutch in no time. Launch hard to get the clutch fully engaged as soon as possible and you'll extend its racing life, along with improving your ET's.

You're on a 600 not a 1K, you don't need to slip the clutch alot.

Ya, I don't want to slip the clutch that much. I have raced a few cars before and I drive a manual everyday so I am familiar with the do's and don't of a clutch. Just don't wanna play to hard with the one in the gsxr if I can help it http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I'll at least pay it off first http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
