i was riding with a guy on a 96 GSXR 750 and his speedo seemed to be reading 10-15% below mine, has anyone else ever noticed a similar problem on this model? also when i gave it a bi,t the speedo said i was doing 300km/h (i didn't think these bikes went that quick)

It's off from the start and if he's running lower than stock gearing it's even more off because the speedo reads off the front sprocket...

And no, it won't go 300km/h...

yeah i had that problem when i got my 750....thought that it was not possible to go 180 mph but thats what it said on the clocks....thats when i was told that i was probably doing about 165mph but becauase i had a smaller rear sprocket it was giving the sensor a false reading........in fact if anybody here knows of a way i can change the sensor or an add on i can get to make the reading correct again (cos i still have this problem)....

many thanks. and good luck http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

This should help, the Speedo Healer: Link (http://www.speedohealer.com/eng/intro.htm)

Don't have any personal experience with it though, my Gix doesn't have a speedo... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif
