Montrose here.

There are some roads to ride, gimp.
You just have to ride out.
It normally takes 30 miles to hit the first decent curve.
That's how I get my 250-350 mile per day weekend rides.

Another good run west is out of fulshear into pattison.. then catch 36 to bellville and hit 159 to industry city and new ulm onto fayettville.. you will catch about 6 right turns and some benders.

I am planing on moving to Houston from NJ, can you daily ride a motorcycle out there. I am only staying for 18 months and I think it maybe easier to have a bike instead of a car when I go. I am under the impression the only thing I will need is rain gear. Is this true and is it feasible to ride year long?

Ride all year? You can wear a bikini all year here.. It's 85 degrees right now! You definately can ride year round here with no problem especially if you have rain gear..

Hey guys, I'm new to the site. I live in Pearland and just got a 2006 GSX-R750. I'm still breaking it in and getting used to it for now, but I'll be up for some rides soon. Take it easy.

Hello there. New to the site and new to own a gixxer. Just bought a 2003 gsxr 600. First rode a Katana then a Volusia, so it's a little bit of a transition. I live in Galveston, but I'm always up for a ride when time permits.

Anyone know of any clubs or meeting spots? (preferably close to Galveston) I know on Sundays that meet at the Hooters on Nasa Rd, but are there any others?

NW houston here. Racer Rd which takes you out toward brookshire where they have plenty of twisties with long straight-aways. Good for hitting corners at 120+. The S turns are great out there. Watch out for the cops though....they know we like to ride out there on sundays.
