Is there a ride on New Years Day ? I seem to recall one gathering at the Coffee Plantation.

Anyone know the truth of it ?

Most of the guys head out to Tortilla Flat. I plan on getting to Tempe about 7:30 or 8:00. Then I have to whoop the pants off another forum member when we go to Tortilla Flat so I can get a free breakfast.

Sounds good. I look forward to meeting some of you guys that I've been reading posts from for the past few months. Thinking about getting a small ride in XMas morning as well. Got some new rubber so need to rough them up a bit before heading out on New Years.

Best of luck on the challenge.... free grub always hightens the competition, hehe. Weather looks great for the next couple of weeks. We should be good to go.

Mark - should be a good time, do not worry bout Brazil, he isn't going to be whoopin up on anybody! We should organize a meet-up between the gixxer members prior to Mill so we can find one another since there are so many bikes on Mill.

Ya, well here is my plan. I live in El Mirage. My neighbor I think is going, and then I have to head to 35 Ave. and Northern to pick up another buddy. From there we will hit the 17 south. So if anyone is on the west side, we can meet you on the way to my buddies on Northern, or we can meet you right after that somewhere.

Man, I have been riding to work everyday just so I can warm up my throttle action for Sunday. I love free food. It always tastes better.

Hey guys I'm a newbee "squid" to the streetbike scene but would love to ride with some of you more experienced riders. I bought a '03 750 about a month ago & love it. I rode my buddies R-1 this past year before I purchased it, but I couldn't deny the gsxr. I took the MSF course so I have a enough experiience to keep her upright. I also live out in El Mirage, I will be out of town for new years but will keep checking on when you guys plan on meeting up next time. Have a good New Years!

Welcome - we usually organize rides up to the Spars, beer nights, and car show cruises, but I am sure our trips to the twisties will be expanded to include Brazil because he is only comfortable riding his twisties going to Tortilla Flats. There are a great bunch of guys on here.

Twisties, beer and car shows sounds like a good time. I used to live by Prescott I can only imagine how insane the Spars can be.

The twisties through the Spars and the sweepers in Yarnell are awesome! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/icon_rant.gif

Spars is fun for sure. I really need to practice those. Yarnell, I take it easy since I got a tickett there a couple years ago. I sent newbee a PM. And Loms, what area are you in? I know Dragon lives over on the west side too. Maybe we could all meet up by I-17 and Northern?

I live out in Ahwatukee, why don't we meet up at the In-N-Out burger on Rural (Scottsdale) and the Loop 202, it is just south of the 202 on the east side of the road. This is only a suggestion if I actually make the ride.....

Yeah I'm not to expericened so I'm sure I'll be laggin' behind through out the twisties. For the westsiders I've been way out west on Bell past the 303 theres a nice straight-a-way to open em' up at.

No worries Newbee, I'm out for the ride not doing Mach 2. Everyone finds their own comfort zone. See you guys at 8am at In N Out.

Weather is looking rather questionable for tomorrow HERE (http://www.findlocalweather.com/forecast/az/tortilla+flat.html) plus heard on 3TV tonight that there was 2 motorcycle fatalities today at the Flats. You think they'll close it up ?

No, they have accidents out there every weekend. There is more than just the resteraunt to go to. There is a lake that people go to also. They wont turn away all those people. Besides, everyone will still meet down in Tempe. Im sure its all still a go.
