Alright guys Im lookin to pick up a beater bike for expressway stuntin and fast stuff. I would love a 929 but too much $$$ so Im thinkin about a 900RR but then I remember the 1k engine into an SRAD which ive done some looking around and figure it could be done for a whole lotta hours (aka:Pain in my ass) but also for fairly cheap. What do u guys think about stuntin an SRAD, Im really looking for advice from ppl who stunt or have stunted one...but if u ride an SRAD and a wheelie-oholic then ur 2 cents is good too haha.

Do the SRAD frames have the frame cracking problem that the 00'-03' gixxers had?

i had a gixxer 2002 and 2003 750..no problems with mine in cracking in the frame when i crashed or dropped..the only thing was the back subframe for the seat..only point. but i welded them back together if it happened.
but the srad is pretty good so i heard of . no complaints, wheelies good and handles well.. i'd say do it but then i think why the hell would you put the engine in it ?? waste of money!! get a 600/750 srad if you find any and just fuckin stunt that. learn how to do it on the 600's and buddy..you'll be laughing at the big shows who think they're all that with 1000's....1000's are for fuckin bitches who like to wheelie at mach 2 on the highways in 3rd gear...like thats not cool what so ever. show em how it's done.

ps. gixxers are amazing bikes to stunt..but i have a 600f4i now ..and they're just plesent to stunt http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif nice and strong.

yamaybe..but if they're intostunting then they'd not need a 1000 to pop it up..600's all about skills. someone who's doing highchairs/or circle wheelies/ anykinda parking lot shit on a 600 definitaly has more talant then someone on a 1000..cause a 1000's so easy to pop up. but with 600 more skills...but im sure you wouldn't know anything about that.

dude to get up a 600 you have to clutch it.

and if you want to rock slow shit on any bike you have to clutch it.

all i do is clutch my 1k up.

i have had people say the same ass stupid shit that you are saying to me about how you need more skill to wheelie a 600 than you do to wheelie a 1000.

i can wheelie a 600 , infact i have stunted on manny 6ers.

the only fact that your " idea " has truth in is the fact that a 1k is easyer to power up than a six.
i really dont know what kind of point you are trying to make?

that just cause you have a 1000 doesn't mean you can run the show..
yea it's easier so there for takes no skill to get it up.. 600 revs out faster so you have to get to your bp quicker and 1000s are a lil slower.. so therefore just cause it's a 600 means that if you can do rock out the stunts on a 600 then your better then the rest i think...(well not better just..have more skills)

that makes no sence at all.
if you clutch up a 6 or a 1k they will reach b/p at about the same time. if not the 1k will come up a lil faster when clutching it up, therefor you have to react a bit faster so you dont loop it.

if you want to test your skills on your little bike then take it to the track and then you will see how much skill you have.

haha i do race...not that much but been there.. and stuntings getting old??obviously you aren't that good..or you aren't pushing yourself to go harder and learn new things..i've been ryding for 4 years now and i love it..everyday i go out is like the first day..bloods pumpin fast.
i aint disrespectin ha i got nothing against other bikers.. and no i haven't been on a 1000 for a long time..but most of my buddies have em so most of the time we switch up bikes and try it out on the 600/750/1000's just for a change..so i know it's not that different no..but still ha i think that if your good on a 600 you get more props from the ryders..but oh well i had a 750 for 3 years...love it/think it's perfect size so i dont need to go up or down http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

and about the whole loop thing...any bike is loopable. no matter what size.

Alright now that my threads been jacked...

Lets clear some things up...I have a F4i...so the 600 stunter is covered...Im lookin for a street ride/expressway wheelier...The SRAD-1000 would be for highspeed wheelies (yes highspeed on the streets out of the lot) and seat/tank combos. I wanted to know what you guys think about that idea?

600's...well Im no stunter yet Im still learning...but Ive been keeping track to the stunt game for a couple years now and talked to a lot of ppl Im on SL a lot and theres good advice there...what Ive learned is 600 vs. 1000 is that the 600's are easier to do slow stuff on and 1ks are better for fast stuff...simple as that. Why do u think they call 600s cheater bikes? becuase u can wheelie anything in 1st gear and thats the only gear u use in a lot. therefore the 1000s advantage is lost. It really doesnt matter since its more about comfort and preference than anything.

Go F4i theyre more solid than the R6. Ive been hearing the new 04'+ GSXR600s are sick stunt bikes tho.

If your bored with stuntin its either not for u which is cool everyone has their own thing, or ur not pushing your self to new limits...Are u cutting circle combos yet? hahaha

So back on topics...SRAD1000...what do ya think? So they feel stable and well balanced huh?

I was also thinking about doing a tail update to an SRAD....get rid of that fat azz for jumping around the bike...Im not a huge fan of the bubble butt...but it does look like the solo seat would be one hell of a platform for seat standers.

well i understan that the average person would think its harder to stunt on a 600 rater than a 1k, but either way you need skill to stunt on either.

but most people thet stunt on 600 heve got a big pizza sprocet , why? because it makes it EASY .

so if you have got a 600 with a pizza pie on thr rear and then you go around saying you got more skill cuz your on a 600 what are you trying to prove?

i have had people actualy think that i couldnt stunt their 600 because i ride a 1k ? why the fuck do they have to stress about it so much?

i just dont understand?

and when i said i was getting board with stunting i was serious, but just because i want to persue raceing. everybody and their mother is stunting nowadays. the whole point of stunting has been run down by all theese fucking posers. and im fucking sick of it.

i like the idea of a srad 1000,
skidmark has done the 1k swap.

and the 04+ gixxer 600/750s are bad ass stunt bikes.

you cant goe wrong with either.

ya i was thinkin about it ..when another biker hit me while on the highway..my oil pan was all fucked up/leaking so i replaced it but i was thinkin about getting it cause i already had it off etc. but i said fuck it..didn't wanna wait 2 more weeks for parts.

but gixxers.oh man love them but if not then i wanna get a 636..the new ones are amazing to stunt on !!!

Well I pay $25/month for my F4i for full coverage...insurance on a 97' SRAD600 would have to be hella cheap!!!...then behind everyones back I stuff a 03' 1000 motor into it hehe >:) then i got my squid machine for 100+ mph whooliez hahaha.

Theres no such thing as cheating...ppl just hatin...you are aware certain bikes will sputter and stall without gearing them.

My insurance full coverage on my 04 600 is 27 per month...

State farm..

I also have my mustang with them though and it's 100 a month for liability... that's the catch though, they won't sign a bke-only poilcy. You have to insure a vehicle with them to get a bike policy

well fuck, i have my ranger on state farm and they want 720 a year for just theft and libailtu, and 1000 for full coverage with a 1000 deductible, i also have no tickets or anything ever on my insruance

I would luv to get my hands on a 04' 750 to dent in the tank and have for a nice street ride...but those are mucho $$$ that I dont have...so I figure pick up a crashed clean titled SRAD and do it up.

I'm only 22... they told me the way the state farm does things is by scale..

It's like this..

If you're 18-21 you're in a scale (let's call it C)

Once you're 22-25 you're in B

Being married jumps you a letter (e.g. if you're 18 and married you are in a B, 24 and married you are in an A)

After 25 you are an A, so being married or unmarried doesn't affect you after you turn 25.

So I'm in a class B with a clean record for 4 years...

So my 27/month full coverage on my 04 600 shouldn't be too hard to get for you guys... even if you are youngins...

Call state farm and ask them what they can do for you..

P.S. I also applied for AND got their several discounts...

They had a few such as the "Steer clear" driver discount, where I was suppose to watch a 2 hour video and do a report on it (never did it, still have the discount)

and a 3.0+ good student discount (my GPA is a 2.6 but they never asked to see any proof so i also have THAT discount)

I also have a multiple vehicle discount (bike + car)

It started at about 45/month but that was 2 years ago with no claims and a 500$ deductable so over time they've lowered me to 27/month

Good luck and definitely give them a call... see what they can do

Hmm how what about a SRAD versus an 00'-03' gixxer? personally from talking with my friends they all prefer the new ones...my one buddy absolutely LOVES his 750 and I kno hes pullin tank wheelies no problem in 2nd and said he can pick up 3rd no problem all day too stock gearing

OK bro so this is the deal ive been reading all this shit talkt on here bout this an that but nobodys answerd youre q???i got like three srads i do stunt ride and i have for years i fukin love the SRAD !! in my opinion they are the best all around for the money whether it is track days or stuntin or u just wana roll around! the srad suzuki is hard to beat!! i will tell u this u do not need to motor swap anything a stock 750 srad will do anything under the sun ! putting a bigger motor in it is just a waste of money! ALL U NEED TO DO IS BUY ONE AND RIDE IT!! a bigg 1000 cc motor is just a waste ! now lets get this straight im not hatein on any body who rides a bigg bike ...but u do not need a 1000cc motor to ride out nice bigg fat nasty long wheelies on the highway or anywhere else!! i run a motorcycle shop and have had a shop of my own for years I HAVE RODE EVERYTHING !! so i know what im talkin bout ...out of all i think the srad 750 is perfect for what u are tryin to do they are cheap powerfull and easy to find in good shape but if u go and put a bigg motor in one u will find u are going to have to mutch money tied up in the thing to be ridein it like a jack ass! if u wana do any kind of stuntin freeway or parkin lot u need to keep it cheap! cuz sooner or later u gonna fuk up sumn! i got a 750 srad i stunt and ive only got a six tooth gear change over factory shit ! i keep it like this becuz i still ride on the street a lot. i can ride out nice long fast shit for dayz and i do not need a bigger motor for nuthin,i can clutch up nice big tank and high chair wheelys no poroblem all day !! i have however been riding an srad for years and im very comfortable on them ...more than anything else but i will never ride ...specially stunt anything else.....
