How's yours running fast600? Haven't really seen anything in a while about your swap.

I'm getting ready to order some stuff for mine, including the engine. How much did you get yours for? If you don't mind me asking.

a 1000 motor will NOT bolt right into a 2004/2005 750 Frame, requires some modifications, and there is no motor mount adapters, because there is no room for them. Have to do it yourself.

It's easy to do.The only thing that is diffrent is the front motor mounts. It might actually be the same on the 750 couldnt tell yea i did the swap in a 600.The front motor mounts were off by like 3/4 of a inch.I had bought a set of brackets that they sell for the swap.Things you will need,of course the motor, harness, computer, oil cooler.exhaust, front sprocket possibly mine was diffrent from the 1000 but i had a 600 so you have to check that, thats all i can think off right now but thats about it.if you got any questions just reply.

Exactly what FAST600 said, send an email to HYBRIDRACING...he does the maintenance on my bike. He's very knowlegable. If you go to his website check out the heading HYBRID GIRLS scroll through the pics, their is a white GIXXER that was origionally a 600, Hybrid did the swap and put a 1000 in it. Took it out for a test run a few times and its tight...very, very quick....talk to him he'll get you started. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

You have motor mount adapters to run a 01-04 GSXR 1000 motor in a 04/05 GSXR 600/750 Frame? I want to see them... I talked with the guy from Hybrid Racing, and he said they DO NOT Exist, because there is no room for the mounts, because the mounting holes are so close together.... I know they make them all day for 01-03 600/750... never seen them for a 04+. So lets see them, and find out why Hybrid doesnt make them...

Ill admit it i did not read it very carefully, smurfonagixxer is correct they do not make one for the 01-04 GSXR 1000 motor in a 04/05 GSXR 600/750 Frame.

i am not ashamed to admit that i was wrong.

thanks for makeing that clear.

Either everybody gets them off of Ebay or nobody has any idea of a good place to get a motor? http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif

yep...

I dunno why I never came back to this post... but you might think of me as a life saver now if you still plan on doing this project. I put a 1000 motor in my 04/600 early in 2006. Here is a step by step detail wiht instructions on how to do it!

Hope this helps
