As of this morning CasterTroy and I have started to investigate the posibility of having a Gixxer.com track day at VIR.

If anybody is intrested please post. If there is enough intrest, then this could be the first official gixxer.com group meeting.

The big differance between this and the Vegas thing is that we would be riding at this event.

Give it some thought and let me know.

I'm in. Are you planning on doing the whole circuit or one of the smaller ones?

We'll were thinking September 9th.

We havn't decided on the north course or south course. There's no way we'er doing the whole thing. First of all it's expensive, second I wouldn't want to go down the entire back strech (2500 ft I think) and then have to brake for a a 3rd gear right / left switch back thats also a 85ft drop.

Motorcycles have only run on the full course once, I belive. Cornerspeed did a track day for the whole thing. I couldn't imagine......

Which is the south course in the picture? The smaller track to the right or the larger one on the left??

I would so love to ride the whole thing, would be a crazy blast graemlins/thumbup.gif

I would love to do one there! Around how much? Around when? This would be sweet! I'd like to do the fastest of the two, but I'll do either. This would be a great opportunity to meet you all as well as have a blast!

I also have a suggestion! If there are many of us, would it be possible for the first half of the day to do one course, and then after lunch do the other course? Because many people could attend this track day, and this would give the different classes more room, because half of the riders would be on one side, and vice versa! We could swap sides during our lunch break...is this a possibility? There could easily be 150 people. With three classes, that's 50 in each group images/icons/shocked.gif split that up to 75 on each course, and that makes a whole of extra room to ride, it would defintely be safer.

Or would there be a limit as to how many could come?

Count me in! VIR south is awesome. It looks small but don't let it fool you. The straight is super fast and there is a small cork screw that will leave your stomach in turn 4! For a gixxer.com track day, it is perfect. Of course it will have to be scheduled through Aaron Stevenson, director of Cornerspeed. www.cornerspeed.net. (http://www.cornerspeed.net.) His business is the official school of VIR and all track days go through him. He is a super nice guy though. Keep me posted!
