hey... i've been into streetfghters for quite some time now... i built an FJ600 one... and before that i built an XS650 chopper...

now i ride a 97 Gix, KN, RS3, Dynojet and a few other mods that u can see here:

i'm seriously thinking about doing my bike streetfighter style..
my question is... do the cross bars make the bike un-ridable on the highway ??? cuz i do a fair amount of travelling also...
i know how to mount them and i like the way the feel / look... but before i start hacking away i need to see what you think about converting to cross bars.
how stable is it and such ???

You don't have to go to cross bars to make a Fighter but they make the riding position more upright and quicken the steering do to the added width and it could be a little twitchy. The wind blast is what will get you on the long rides. I have my stock looking 90 for the long stuff and my 88 7-11 for the fun stuff.

what are the advantages of having the cross bars?

every fighter i swa has them... is it just to have a more upright position so it's easier to wheelie?
