: Who's feeling my BEars????
forrestang 11-27-2005, 03:03 AM Been my team for years, my cousin and I painfullly watching them suffer in the NFC North.
Beginning of season when our starting QB got hurt again, I was ready to hope they had a loosing season, so we could get a good draft next season(I'd love to see Vince Young come to Chicago), but with this defense, I'm lovin it.
We've had a superb d for like 2 years, a good one for maybe 4. If we had a normal offense, we'd be unstoppable.
Has anyone noticed, guys that don't see the Bears games in other states, especially since they've been getting some buzz lately?
Been watching them as well and that defense is amazing. If their offense can start scoring some points they would be a very strong team and probably ruin some other teams hopes and dreams this offseason. I got money on 'em today so I hope they keep the lead they have now (13-3) through the rest of the game.
DA BEARS!!!
Uncle Shittypants 11-27-2005, 02:25 PM Man I hope Rex stays healthy and shows what kind of QB he is capable of being. How about my boy Alex Brown today. Im not really a bears fan per say, not an NFL guy, well I watch it but have no favorites, hate the bucs tho, so im glad you guys held on. Im a big UF guy tho and you have some UF players, so I like you guys. Also have my boy Todd Johnson, hes from here.

Alex was getting off today seriously. This D is just amazing. Particularly the front 4. Been rushing 4 and dropping 7 all day, and it gets done.
Every week its a difffernt guy that stands out.....wether its Vasher, Ogunlaye, or Brown.
I have a bit less confidence in our secondary though, even though we got Mike Brown.
For real though, if we had a normal offense, not necessarily as explosive as say a Colts offense...but just slightly better than average, we'd be a serious contender for the big game.
juniorace 11-27-2005, 11:04 PM What you're seeing is somewhat reminiscent of the 1985 Bears defense. I was 24 when they went to the Super Bowl, and have been following them ever since Butkus played with them. The '85 defense was definitely stronger all around, but Alex Brown was looking like a man possessed on Sunday. Always loved the defensive side of the game, and they gave me plenty to http://www.planetsmilies.com/smilies/sign/sign0200.gif about. Good to see them leading the division.
GixxerRacer317 11-28-2005, 05:45 AM Yeah the Bears keep surprising me..... I'm just waiting to see what happens when they face a team with a really good offense.
wtchtwr 11-28-2005, 12:41 PM Gotta love it Forrest http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif
I wish they had a more explosive offense but Orton is looking great for a rook -
Hopefully the offense will rise to the occasion...
forrestang 11-28-2005, 01:16 PM I"m hoping we can hold on to this defense for another 2 seasons or so for the offense to develop into something.....anything?

$500
That's how much I put on all the early and late games. I had $2k on last nights game and $3,500 on tonight's game. I'm trying to earn enough to buy a used Toyota Tundra V8. I'm looking at a 2000 now w/high miles (150k) priced at $11k and it's a dealer so I can get it for less. It's a limited V8 4x4 and is clean as hell. I'm not too worried about the miles because it wouldn't get driven a whole lot. Just the occasional winter drive and hauling stuff. So, that's my goal. I need a winter vehicle before the snow flies here in Colorado.
Uncle Shittypants 11-28-2005, 02:43 PM damn dued you are crazy, sometimes when im feeling lucky ill put 20 on a game
