Anyone who saw the B-King in the magazines over the last couple of months; I read the other day that Suzuki is going to produce it (can't remember were though). The price is to be $15K for the base model, and $20K for the supercharged.

Remembered were the 'tear offs' section of the last issue of Motorcyclist (page 33).

**********excerpt**************

SUZUKI'S awesome B-King concept bike. It is a muscle-bound bike, and sure to please many with its mixture of high-tech wizardry, extreme performance and stylish design.

With some of the most awesome vital statistics of any motorcycle on the planet, the B-King is difficult to improve upon. Its features include:

*Mega-powerful 1299cc production motorcycle engine (taken from the Suzuki Hayabusa) supercharged to produce well over 200bhp

*No plastic in its construction - made completely from metal, carbon or leather

*Huge 240-section rear tyre for added traction

*Enormous 150-section front tyre - larger than many motorcycle rear tyres

*Laser welded frame

*Plasma welded swing arm

*Advanced electronic displays

*Fingerprint recognition system replaces conventional ignition key for added security

*Self diagnostic system using on-board sensors that can submit data to cell phone and PC

*The B-King communicates with your mobile phone if someone attempts to steal it

*Access to the internet allows weather and traffic information to be downloaded

*GPS satellite Navigation system fitted

And for the first time ever, you, the public will have a say in whether it should be put into production or not - or even if the design should be altered in anyway. All you have to do is email Suzuki to register your opinion. All opinions will be looked at by Suzuki and will influence the decision on whether to build a production version of the bike.

They need to dump all the electronic crap and the supercharger and sell them for about $9K. I'd own one then.

If they were 9K, every punk on the block would have one. The ensuing death toll would mount, then it would be impossible to get insurance on.

I'm all for 15K to 20K. I might not be able to afford one. But at least they could build it.

Looks totally wicked, but I bet it's steering is next to shit with a 150 on the front!

Now it means that when they steal your bike they cut your thumb off too!

I don't think they will build it with the supercharger. It would make to much HP for a stock bike. I have had a turbo GSXR with 240RWHP and it was a handfull. I don't think Suzuki would take the liability. It would be fun but while I like the idea it has to much bodywork on it for a Streetfighter you can't even see the engine!
