my first time on a track with a bike on my 05 600 and my very first run ever i pulled a 11.798 @ 119.972 with a .373 reaction time. i pulled a r1 over half way down the track then he caught me at the end. he ran a 10.879@137.813. I ended up taking first place on bracket racing in the motorcylce class. my best time of the day was a 11.726@119.251 with a .096 reaction time. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/banana.gif

Well first off congrats on the win, beginners luck http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

And keep on practicing and those numbers will drop down to where they should be. I know my first few runs at the track were in the mid-high 11's. Not so much any more http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

What he said ... I won my first time at the track too.
Haven't since though, but I've been more worried about getting my times down, and not almost flipping over anymore.

That's about average for a first time at the track.
I only went twice before I went -1 on the front sprocket ... then added the bolt-on exhaust and PC3 with a stock map.
But with a stock bike I went a best of 11.4 I believe, averaged 11.6.

The more you go, the faster you'll get ... that's just how it works.
With my bike the way it is now, I average 11.1 ... and I have two 10.9 slips.
Lowering the bike for next season and my goal is 10.5s.

My best time on mine was 11.14@126MPH bone stock, other then a K&N fitler. I added a strap kit and went 10.81@128, so far anyways. THere's still a couple 10th's left in it.

Thats still using the stock Dunlops too.

That's a corrected time with a professional rider.
There's almost no way to do match that number in real life.
I have never seen a track with 'perfect' conditions.

Damn Ghost, that bike's making some decent power ... I don't think I've seen above 127 even with my minimal mods. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

JDC I had my bike dyno'd back in Oct. and it pushed out 103.9HP at the wheel.

Yeah I know the bike is a little animal for some reason. In my area at least the only guy close to my times is an R6 with pipe and power commander, his best was a 10.9 (consistent 11.1's)
