well I thinking of buying a newer bike , but : this is my question I have been riding for the last 8 months / around 6000 miles and last week ; I rode a 05 zx10 of my friend all hook-up.
now the fastest I've been is 120MPH for a short period on the 60 fwy here in los angeles.

haha get a used 5000 600cc and take it to the track.

a zx10 or any liter bike isn't going to teach you to ride.

One of my mates used to ride a `97 ZX9. Only a young bloke but has a fair amount of ability.
Heavy ass bastard of a bike but had a mile of top end. He could do a 10.7 1/4 on that bike.
I once overtook him and he was doing 280KPH. Got video of it too.
ANYHOW........
4 weeks ago he purchased a an `05 10. Last weekend he threw it down the road. He`s alright. The bike will be allright when he throws some money at it.
The moral?
Keep learning grasshopper.
