the matter what i do when i bounce it up in 2nd i cannot get it higher then 6". when i go over a small rolling hill i have no prob getting it like 12" off the groud. I'm still afarid to clutch it up. i just ordered -1/+1 sprockets hoping that they will help. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/hip.gif

you should have no problem. if you are getting it up 6" then you just need to keep gasing it and lean back. You prob arent leaning back.

in 2nd gear..i went anywhere over 90 km/h ..anywhere atfer that i didn't have a problem bringing it up...sit downs i had to pull up harder with but if you do stand ups ..you'll be laughing..
try it out ..but i got it up on my 03 gixxer 750 no problem every time i tried one going anywhere 90 km/h + and it was wihle doing stand ups.

I do more stunt riding than anything else and I also have an 02 750 If you can't get that thing up in 2nd you are doing something wrong!! That bike will bounce up in third let alone second. Hell I don't even bounce that shit just the right secuence of gas clutch and body language and she'll stand right up.

Oh yeah I rode with bone stock gearing for a long time before I geared my bike. The -1+1 gearing you want to do will help buy I would suguest going -1+2 at least or just -1. That +1 rear is kind of pointless IMO.

uh +1 is pointless?

i rode with -1 for about a year on my 750, needed new chains so got a -1 +1. I can easily tell the added +1.

yeh its a little difference. but why pay for +1 when you could go +2 or 3. +1 aint worth doing it in my opinion. -1 +3 is a NICE street setup.

Drew.... once you get the power wheelies on lock. Mess around slipping out the clutch and get a feel for it. eventualy you will see how hard you can clutch it to make it come up and it will come natural. You wont look back after you get it.

good luck bro and be safe.

thats just it "street"

-1 +1 520 and added r6 throttle sweet track set up headed to TWS with a front straight that has me hitting red line in 5th right before the corner.

adding +2 +3 on the rear was for stunting the 600 when i didn't understand how to get her up. now its just over kill, u can do it with body english or the clutch w/o a problem. I felt it was more than an minimal change though. just adding +1 alone is, but added with a -1 it was just a little extra. its not worth making her all jerky when u wanna roll back on the throttle.

i clutched it up sitting down and i think its alot easier and more stable. ill be using the clutch alot more then trying to bounce it.

Alright u got a 750 and there are guys out there doing tank spreaders on second on 750s, shit man there are guys out doin 3rd gear wheelies on a stock F4i...dont gear it untill u can rock a BP wheelie...gearing will only make it harder to learn BP, yea sure itll be easier to get the front wheel up but itll make BP touchier. Ummm I guess it really is a personal preferance but I clutch my shit everytime, Im no wheelie king by any means im learning how to stay in BP right now but ide learn to clutch it up and cover the rear brake.

? i use to have a 600. I wheelied that 3rd bone stock with one bounce. I rode an f4i and its even easier to lift in 3rd stock. I put -1 on i and bounce it up in 4th just to see if I could. I see guys clutch 2nd on 600's for high chairs so what.

I gear mine because I enjoy the touchyness. Plus it gives me a better drive out of corners. And of coarse its more stable sitting. Your body manipulates the bikes direction when your standing. Meaning once you get it down you'll do it standing because you'll like it better. You can actually steer the bike, and lower the BP with your weight. But I'll bounce 3rd for now - like I said though, i've basically drifted from the wheelie scene. Not enough excitement as compared to circuit tracks http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

I have the same bike and year before I got my k5 litre bike. Dude, use the clutch. Go about 35 to 40 in second, , pull in the clutch, rap that throttle to almost redline and pop the clutch and you will be up. When the bike comes up higher then the hump then start feathering the throttle the rest of the way up..

No if you don't want to use the clutch go find yourself a 1000 because you don't need the clutch on it.

It's funny, I'm having this same problem...

I came off of a 99 ZX9R that I could clutch up in 2nd and 3rd all day. No matter what I do, I cannot get my 01 750 to come up in 2nd more than 6"....I know I'm not new, and not retarded...
