Well I certainly didn't think we would be in this situation. The Cards have the ability to win 3 in a row....but they have to get back to the fundamentals. I missed both games this weekend, but from the pieces I heard on the radio and all the articles they have been making way too many mental errors. You saw what happened to Pettitte the 1st time he faced the Cards this series. I hope tonight will not be a reapeat performance, especially since he's at home.
I'm just getting sick of Cards fans here (at work) saying the only reason they are behind 3-1 is because of the umps...for crying out loud! Give Houston some credit! It wasnt the umps who threw the runs on the boards. May have been some questionable calls, but thats NOT the reason they are in the spot that they are in.
Either way, go Stros, lets send em packing like they sent us last year.

Tell the Cardinal fans in your office that they need to STFU about the umps. They could call pitches that bounce in the dirt strikes for all I care....ours guys can't hit them anyways! However I will say...even without seeing a replay yet....the ump had no reason to throw Edmonds out last night....the ump was on a power trip.

When your manager gets thrown out the inning before, you should just swollow your pride and keep your mouth shut. Edmonds knows this, and he chose to speak up. It got im an early departure.

I'm sure you wouldn't have been able to keep your mouth shut....I know I wouldn't have even half my team got kicked out the inning before.

Asking a question...which he is allowed to do....does not warrant an ejection....especially with how quick he made the ejection. The ump has an ego problem....period. Anybody in that position would have asked the same question.

Granted....I don't know exactly what Edmonds said besides what he says he said....so whatever...it's done.
