I'll give you two answers for the price of one...Yes it's safe and no speaker magnets do not harm projection screen TV's.. Additonal info: All modern speakers are magneticly shielded anyway...The started making them like that about 6 years ago...Now they just about are all made that way..

not if you get shielded speakers

like kiri said,,, mag's dont affect projection tvs.. and almost every single center channel and front main speakers come shielded. some models that can be used for mains and rears both, come shielded unshieled options. shielded run just a bit mroe.

You know I was trying to find a set of unshielded mains becuase they sound better for music and audio your pumping that does not need surround sound. I couldn't find a set anywhere. JBL, which is my preferred brand, does'nt make them unshielded anymore..Kind of pissed me off because stuff that was mastered in analog like old Rush, Zep Floyd etc..just sounds like pure crap running through a 5.0 set..Sounds great on two channel unshielded speakers even when it's on CD.

I've never been a fan of their stuff..Don't ge me wrong they are a high end brand but I just never liked the sound from any of their units..

really huh? i prefer theirs to others.. ive heard that chicks are more particular/picky to audio equipment and the sounds certain brands have..

have you listened to their stuff on different amps? i run yamaha with teh para's and love it.. but the upper lines of para paired up with an old school mcintosh tube amp was some of the best ive ever heard.
