: So what movies could've been good...

One of the most obvious to me would definitely be Alien vs Predator. When I first saw the trailer, I thought it was going to be a bad ass movie, but it ended up being just bad.
Another one was Freddy vs Jason (maybe the vs makes everything suck). It could've been a pretty good one, I liked both series when I was younger and I thought something cool might happen with the two...guess I was wrong.
What else you guys?

The whole movie was great and realistic until her "spirit" came to life and pulled him under the water. I saw the movie years ago, saw it onyl once and still remember how bad the ending is. F*cking dumb.
That movie was great suspense wise because:
1) Harrison Ford always plays a good guy
2) When she checks the phone and it read "411"

I must digress, I thought Saw was a great movie. The dramatic talking just built up the character, he had to be an intelligent psychopath.

Kiri Rocket Rider 10-09-2005, 01:56 AM Being the terminal sci-fi nerdette I am I would defintely agree with A vs P, but Starship Troopers pretty much insulted the hell out of Robert Heinlen, And Wing Commander could have been really good if it was'nt done like a WWII sub hunter movie and had better production design..Hmmm every Star Trek movie since TWOK, Star Wars Episode's I and II, and with me as well I could go on and on...
On a positive note if you like sci-fi movies go see Serenity..It was badass..
2ndgixer 10-09-2005, 10:31 AM Too many movies to choose from!!! Troy, We Were Soldiers, Four Feathers, Phone Booth, etc. I'm a Sci-Fi geek extrordinaire. Does anyone remember Event Horizon? Horribly bad! I think there could be a couple more Star Trek movies to be made. There should be a movie with just Klingons and another one with the Borg!

I loved the design of the Lewis and Clarke, but the design of the EH and it's interiors were done intentionally with gothic overtones to underscore the "horror" aspect of the film...I hate when that artsy fartsy shit screws up the realism aspects..Overall the movie was pretty lame..

Kiri Rocket Rider 10-09-2005, 11:27 AM Serenity was the continuation..and sort of conclusion to the TV series Firefly..It's a typical space opra but the the characters are awsome..There were some aspects of Firefly I really didn't care for but it's one of those shows that grows on you the more you watch it...Basicly it's a story about a privateer and his crew set in the far future in a star system with numerous habital planets...
7pm on Sci-Fi channel Friday nights...Check it out Chika

Tho we are a rarity in here I am a SHE first of all, LOL, and second of all I am talking about the doctor. The second he said his first line I was like aw fuck! He sounds like the guy that desribes new movies and does commercials and shit.

Also K9 - good premise, but Indy can't pull off the foriegn accents....

I liked it until the predator teamed up with the broad. Shit….If Conan, Jesse “The Body” Venture, Apollo Creed, and the Indian dude (Sorry not sure what other movies he did) can’t handle one predator how and the hell is some foxy skinny girl going to handle an alien?
