Why have we not had to prices at the pump fall ? I think we just will continue to get screwed ! Hell they raise the prices instantly if they think oil will go up but why dont lower when it is the opposite ? web page (http://abcnews.go.com/Business/wireStory?id=1188962) http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/plthumbsdown.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cussing.gif

because we have been paying atleast 3.00 a gallon now for what a month. Now the gas/oil companies feel that we have gotten used to the idea and that they don't need to lower it. As long as we keep lining up at the pumps to get gas, the prices won't fall...... Yeah they may lower it for a week or two, but then it goes right back up to 3-3.10 for a few days. When it does we are all like..."we paid this much 2 weeks ago whats the difference" so they keep there and this is the NEW norm.

Then 3-4wks later they raise the prices again and the process starts over again. As long as the State and Federal gov't get their tax money from the pumps they aren't worried about us, and don't want to step up and do anything about it.
I am not sure what everyones is.. but here in Alabama the state tax on gasoline is 18 cents, and I am not sure what the Federal cut is.

Sorry to ramble.... This my sole opinion. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

They haven't dropped a whole hell of alot here. And as far as I know, they're still way up in North Georgia. Wasn't gas about 50 cents a gallon cheaper last time oil was at this price?

I know some of the refineries are down still, but that's what, about 5% of our total capacity?

You guys should get a Tank Bank card for Phillips 66, Conoco and 76 stations. I am a red bull addict and when I buy red bull there I give them my Tank Bank card. For every can I buy I get 3 cents off of up to 15 gallons of gas. I have like a $.50 discount already in just a few days from drinking red bull and buying other stuff that gives you discounts. So when I go fill up today I will get $.50 off per gallon. So it will still be stupid high but will save me like $7 :-)

Home heater oil man..I had a diesel F350 POwerstroke and was paying $2.00 per gallon back in 2002. Then I sold it. For year, diesel was always cheaper, now it is 180 different. Good!

Just in winters the diesel goes up about 30 to $0.50 per gallon due to #1 fuel. Then again it does not matter since the truckers pass the price onto us, the customer. Gas is 2.64 per gallon today and diesel is $3.09!
