I don't have a good group collection picture of them!! Thats most of the collection. It all sits in a fireproof 1000 Lbs gunsafe, with the entire house tied into an alarm system!! Makes me feel secure!!!! I do not like the idea of some turd possibly getting my firearms!!

I finaly finished the AR however I'm planning on changing out the scope on it!!
The top picture is me with my 50 caliber Serbu BFG-50, the next is an old pic from Ft Hood,
then my various firearms pics!

Probably one of my favorite 40 cal. defensive guns. Extremely accurate and a pleasure to shoot. I have won several matches with it just the way it is right out of the box! I had the SW99 but I prefer the Walther trigger guard, I think it is more comfortabe and also looks better.

thats good to hear. is it picky on what kind of ammo it likes to eat? everything ive researched has the p99 as a better weapon than the sw99 anyhow.. and i too also prefer the looks of the walther.

I don't ever shoot factory ammo. I reload everything, but I have never had a jam in this gun, it is like Rosie O'Donnel...eats anything you put in front of it !! Seriously though, I have used all types of bullets...HP's and solids without a glitch, and some of the brass has not been in the best of shape but they still function fine.

I don't understand why they don't ban personal firearms in the USA. In Australia it is very strict. Where I live semi and automatic weapons are completely illegal and there are very tight laws on handguns. If you ban them, then noone has them, so there is no need to "defend yourself" from someone else with one.

What happened to the good ol' pub brawl?

well i love a good ole pub brawl more than most people, but thats not the point.. we have the right to bear arms.. and so we shall. and by banning fire arms the only thing that would do is keep the good people from getting them cause all the bad guys would still get them.. your not going to stop them from getting them no matter what laws you pass..

now, if they made it easier to obtain them then there would be a lot more good citizens carrying weapons and the bad guys would be a little more timid when attacking someone cause they may get their asses smoked.. that would do far better than restricting them.. i say de restrict them.

http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/spit.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/rotflol.gif Dude!! Do you watch the news?? Do you have any idea how violent America is and how much we love it...We are a very violent society and always have been...Banning firearms of any kind in this nation is firstly, a violation of our our Constitution, and secondly completely futile for the purposes of reducing violence..If we didn't have our guns we'd just kill each other with swords, bows and arrows, cars, bad Chinese takeout, butter knives, or the good old fashioned boot to the head...

Mine arent primarily used for self defense, hell if that were the case they would just be expensive paperweights. I just like to shoot. Its fun, its a stress reliever, and its excercise in a way most people dont think of (mentally and physically). Plus I like having things YOU cant in Australia, because we are a free nation. And it pisses off the left wing guys that dont understand why I have a 33 round magazine for my glock. Because I can, plain and simple.

That's why you live in Australia and I don't!!! You have to be quite naive to think that none of the criminals in your city do not own the so called "banned" guns. To remove them from the publics hands does nothing but turn you into a target instead of a threat. I for one am not willing to go down peacefully and as long as I am breathing that won't be the case.

Just a few shots of my reloading area. Some of my loaders and some components along with about 25,000 rounds of assorted ammo (I like to target shoot a lot!!) Plus you never know when you might need a "little extra" http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

if guns are banned here... you wouldnt be any safer, people who are already criminals arent gunna say" ohh this is totaly illegal ill go ahead and get rid of it".......that and the people who already own legal guns are a)going to keep theirs because they know the above scenrio and b) they themselves will become criminals rather than trash their guns...its a really nice thought i know, but so was communism and sharing everything. sounds fair but doesnt work.

What I want to know is how are you all getting assault rifles??

Either they don't live in California or if they do they bought them before they were banned. Hence, pre-ban.

Nice, just like mine. I love the way it fits in my hand and the compactness.

yeah, i have small hands (most guns aren't made for women) and this one fits pretty well. i'm still looking to get something smaller as well for carrying, but this does me just fine for what i need it for http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I dont consider them "assault" rifles. Why, because they have high capacity magazines, and they look "evil"? I pull the trigger once and 1 round is fired. The only thing most people assault are paper targets.

Dude you really have to live here to understand that there is a love affair with violence. Some say that it's part of our heritage, that this country was founded by violence. Personally, I don't buy it. Even though violent crime has decreased dramatically since the Clinton administration, many Americans, especially white Americans, still believe they must be armed! Some of the pics posted are just so excessive. But, as I've said many times before, you can't tell people how to spend their money. I grew up and still live in a rural county and have owned guns since I was 18. I once owned a Tommy gun! God, was that dangerous! Got rid of it after one summer. Back in the day, my friends and I would wear our pistols in public (mini marts, fishing, arrow head hunting, etc.). Now, my county's been turned into a large suburb and there really aren't any public access land on which to shoot. So, I no longer own shit like that. I only own a muzzle loader rifle for hunting. It's all about choice. We don't need all that shit, but you'll never convince gun owners in this country of that. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

By definition an assault rifle has to have 2 "deadly features" which would be a pistol grip and a detachable magazine among many others.

For all you "Gun Freaks" that want to see some serious action this is going on next weekend.... Knob Creek (http://www.machinegunshoot.com/index.html)
I will guarantee you will never see anything quite like it anywhere else. I have been going for the last 10 years and still am amazed at the stuff that goes on there...like night time shoots with incendiary and tracers shooting at 55 gallon drums of gasoline with dynamite strapped to them. Yesireee they know how to do it right in Kentucky!!! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/punk.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/punk.gif

No to burst anyones bubble or anything but my job is information risk management so I just thought I would throw this out there. Have any of you thought about the below scenario.

So considering that we all know from time to time there are dipshits on here trying to find ways to create a "keyless ignition... aka fucking thief.." Some asshole could come on here, view this thread with everyones collections. Then they could check your location in your profile as well as what kind of bikes you ride. Some of you even have pics of your bike posted. A somewhat smart theif could then go to the local bike hangout and watch for your bike to show up and then follow you to your house. Now that he knows where you live he could break in the next time you leave.

I just thought I would throw this out there considering, we all have alot of money wrapped up in our stuff and I would hate to see something happen.
Its easier then everyone thinks to get robbed - Im sure at least some of you have seen the TV show To Catch a Theif

I've addressed this before. If a thief is smart enough to find out which people have the guns do you think he would choose? To 1) hit the houses occupied by people that don't have them and are just hoping that nobody decides to break in as they would be completely defenseless and spend their free time convincing themselves that it just doesn't happen in their neighborhood or 2) the people that DO have them and practice weekly in the event (and secretly hoping) that someone is foolish enough to break into their home and try to take that which they've worked so hard for. My guess is if they've selected option two they wouldn't be intelligent enough to get to that point in the first place.

hey where do you shoot in IL im thinking of joining a range but have low budget

haha, I am glad I am not back home in Cali. San diego let alone california is so HARD on good citizens with guns its just out there.

But I am in oklahoma and I can drive 15min ( closer if I want but don't want to piss off anyone) and there is this field where a shitload of people just go shooting. The guns you see out there is wild.

Its funny. Everyone is so cool. Everytime I go theres new targets, etc.

You know that wooden thing that shows the womans butt.

hold on..... man, I see them everywhere in yard but not on any damn search engine.... wtf...

......30min later, I CANNOT find a picture. What in the damn hell.

Anyhow, man, I might make a thread about that.

But they have a few of those lady's fat asses bending over, a propane tank, a microwave, buckets with targets left behind, etc.

So you can just go and put up your own targets on top of the others or whatever. You go and just try to rig something. One guy brought a wooden big assed table and turned it on the side and a few weeks later, there was still targets on it but if you looked at the back side, it was mauled.

Its nice.

The area is next to a lake, has a sign up front saying " Let's keep the area clean guys, put trash in the dumpster, be safe, and have fun" That's it.

Its great.

Plus, the variety of items you can buy legally, although its pretty much for playing around at the range as its virtually useless when someone breaks into your home, etc. But its fun to see all the neat stuff people have.

Granted Im not talking about your average theif but considering the arsenal that some of you have and the street value of those collections, I think you would be suprised at the level of theives that wouldnt think twice about taking a crack at it. True!
Most guys with extensive collection use some rather good security measures such as internally bolting the 1000 lbs+ safe internally to the concrete floor and installing security systems on the room it is stored in and on the safe itself!
By the time they would be able to get through the door with anything half of the day would be gone, so trying to get this all done prior to police or security checking out the alarm would be an issue. Plus the neighbors who all know us (military town and am surrounded by military) would quickly investigate! I am not a good target since the difficulty of the task far excedes what you would get!

Stolen firearms don't make that much money.

Nice collection, but why so many M4 style rifles?

Is there actually a possibility of having too many of this type of firearm. I would still like to have at least 20 more of them. But to answer your query, I don't have any 2 alike, they are all different. Some have different stocks, barrell types or lengths, but 2 of the AR's are chambered in 7.62x39 caliber and the rest .223. The one with the raw finished receiver I machined from a blank forging....it pays to be a plant mgr. of a large machine division with 20 million dollars of equipment at your disposal. However all the rest of them I built from parts including the AK. I need to get some updated pics because I have since then added 2 more AR's, 4 more handguns and 4 more long guns to my collection plus a couple of high dollar target shotguns.

I love the USP. Definitely my favorite pistol and my first choice of a gun to have on my hip if shit goes bad. And best of all, I didn't have to pay for it.

It's a Charles Daly. I can't find it on their site though, it must have some upgraded parts besides the Hogue grips. Paid $450, just couldn't pass it up. I've always wanted a 1911.

With those Hogue grips on it, it's like an awesome pair of tits. I just can't keep my hands off it.

Any suggestions for a first gun? I want to get a handgun for my birthday and get my concealed weapons permit. I want something that I can keep in my car or purse. The problem is that I have very tiny hands..almost childlike and am not very strong. Any suggestions or advice?

It really depends on whats easiest for you to shoot. a 1911 commander style pistol will probably have the slimmest grip, and if you cant handle a .45 maybe find one chamber in 9mm. Although, I will say that I have an easier time shooting the .45. the .45 is a slower moving bullet. It does have more "umph" than a 9mm. but a 9mm is snappier. .38 special would be an okay choice but I would carry +p ammo for self defense. if you dont know much about them you can PM me if you have some more questions.. The heavier the gun the easier to shoot by the way. A lot of polymer framed guns are "top heavy" and make for harder aiming. The ONLY comfortable polymer framed gun I have shot is an HK usp compact in .40

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/eingeist/IMG_7066.jpg

The most accurate gun ive shot is my Kimber full size 1911 in .45. (the one on top)

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v240/eingeist/IMG_6085.jpg

The one on bottom is a Colt officers model in .45. That would be another option too. But, you can always find them chambered in whatever caliber you prefer. You can get a USP compact in 9mm as well.

Where are you in Florida? Most ranges will let you rent guns to try them out. Personally I have problems shooting the Glocks accuratly, but everyone is different so I cant speak for you. If you are near Daytona youre welcome to try out some of my guns at the range if you like to help you decide.

Glock 26 is my suggestion. Subcompact Glock in a 9mm (9x19) caliber. That's my suggestion for MANY reasons. I'll list a few and some apply to other guns to but I feel this is one of the few that embodies all of them:

1) Very easy gun to shoot. You can be a n00b and this gun is accurate and will make you look much better than you are. Speaking in terms of target shooting of course but this also applies to 'real life application' for obvious reasons. Last thing you want a gun that is harder to shoot on the fly and causes panic or stray shots.

2) No conventional safety. Bare with me on this because I was just as afraid of this 'feature' prior to owning one myself. I always grew up hunting and was taught that the safety was the most important thing and was mission critical at all times. Make sure that was on and you can do anything with a gun. I've since learned in tactical training that you ALWAYS treat a gun as if it was loaded and hot no matter what. Once you learn this not only is it more 'safe' than a conventional safety but should you need to use your sidearm to save a life you're ready to roll as soon as it's in your hand... no safety to forget. It sounds like the most simple of tasks to take a safety off but I have seen video of people getting shot to death after pulling a gun and forgetting to take the safety off in a moment of panic. This is NOT a trivial reason and might be one of the most important in choosing a sidearm for anyone (you never know how the most of trained individuals will react in a real life panic situation) to use as a carry weapon.

3) The reason I said to go with the Glock 26 specifically is that it's 9mm ammo. Some will say that 9mm doesn't have enough 'stopping power' but to that I dare any of those people to stand in front of my gun. Placement trumps size when it comes to sidearms. In order to get that shot you need two things... 1) more chances (more rounds in the same size frame compared to .40 or .45) and most importantly 2) practice practice practice. Going with something that takes 9mm ammo will allow you to shoot almost twice the rounds for the same cost since 9mm ammo is almost half the price of .45 ammo. Cheaper ammo means you'll be able to afford to shoot it regularly which means more accurate when you need to use it.

4) Single action. Pull and squeeze. There's no double action or hammer to worry about when in the heat of battle.

5) Glock has three different safety mechanisms that won't allow it to accidentally discharge from being dropped or bumped. Good for obvious reasons & being in a purse and not on your person amplifies this.

6) Reliable and low maintenance. It gets said a lot and I don't recommend it but these things can be put through the ringer and will still keep on firing. I clean mine every time out and recommend the same but it's gonna be more forgiving for those who chose not to. When I do clean it it takes a drop of oil spread on the wear points of the barrel and one drop on each of the four slide stays. Work the slide a couple times and wipe the excess and you're good to go. Some say they like to be fired dry and dirty which may be true but this just means it will be more reliable if cared for properly.

Those are a few of my thoughts based on what you've stated your looking for. I like this because I feel it's something you will use and enjoy as a hobby. There are some that will say that a small revolver is more reliable and more dependable but I think that you're more likely to shoot an automatic action sidearm as a hobby and therefore will become a better more disciplined shooter. I'm fairly new to hand guns compared to many people on this forum but, as I tend to do with hobbies, I've immersed myself in the 'sport' in my short time and have learned a lot and am more than happy to pass along anything I've learned if it helps others. Another suggestion I will take is take the tactical 101 course near you. It's required for concealed carry permit but in reality I would like to see everyone take this just for education. It was amazing what you learn and the amount of comfort & confidence you take from it when completed. Best day and $150 I spent. My wife is NOT a fan of guns and I will probably pay to have her take the class as well. I think she would change her perception of guns greatly if she learned what I learned that day.

Bottom line is you have to use/carry what YOU like and not what others like. The best gun for you is the gun that you're the most comfortable with.

That being said, welcome aboard and I'm sure you'll enjoy it. I never thought I would enjoy shooting as much as I do. I went once and was hooked.

Naughty, naughty:D

M4 with M68's (I don't care for those sights)
M240B
M249

Now what you really need is some M24's, M14's and maybe some M2's.

I used to play with a M231 port firing weapon which had a cyclic rate of approx 1300 rpm which was awsome with a BETA C-Mag.

I had my hands on some very nice weapons over in Iraq to include SIG SG 543, H&K MP-5 and PDW as well as GC (Iranian G3 copy), Dicktoriof, RPK, PKC, Romanian SVD, DSHK, SIG made MP44, some BRNO's, Remington made 1911, Browning Hi Powers, PPSH-41's (kinda suck but fun to shoot after you spend all that time loading those 75 round drum mags), Krinkov and a slew of AK's and some other pistols.

I'll look through my pictures and see what I can post up.

I'd say look at a Kahr K-9, you can also used +p rated 9mm ammo in it too. Thinner than a 1911 pistol and half the weight.

By definition an assault rifle has to have 2 "deadly features" which would be a pistol grip and a detachable magazine among many others.

By definition as described by Boxer, Feinstein, Schumer, Reno, etc etc etc a assualt weapon is defined as a weapon which is demeaning by nature ie it is a scary weapon!

All glocks are double action, just to get the info straight. the description is right, the nomenclature is just wrong.

It's a 'double and a half' action. :D

According to Glock it's DAO but it gives no external (or internal hammer) and allows for the trigger feel and pressure of a SA trigger. If you go by the actual definition of SA it's SA.

But, despite Glock's best marketing I stand behind my original statement of Glock not being DA.
