im considering getting this:

its a czech 9mm semiauto, frame and slide are metal, i heard they're really accurate. anyone have a cz or have any experience with em? i'm lookin to find one for 400 or less. what do you guys think?

A friend of mine had a CZ85 - really nice and accurate gun with a good price tag. Having the slide inside the frame instead of on the outside actually adds a lot to the precision. Same on the SIG P210 I have. Go get it http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

That's a great choice.
The 75 is the prolly the most famous CZ model.
Accurate, well made & reliable.
Being it's so popular, you shouldn't have a problem getting one for under $400..

If you're looking for a cheaper price, I recommend the CZ40b..
If you can find one, they run just over $300..
Again, great CZ quality.

BTW, as far as I know the 85 is only different from the 75 by having levers on both sides, although I've found the trigger pull to be cleaner on the 75 in general http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

Actually the finish and quality of the CZs is on par with most western guns. I've seen plenty of for example American guns that were less reliable and had poorer finish... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I love the CZ's! I have a 75 SP01 that I shoot competition with. They are one of the best out there. (30 round mags are nice too)

I have a CZ-52 as well :punk

CZ has a super compact 45 that I almost picked up, but instead I got an H&K USP compact tactical 40.

CZ's are great. Built like a tank. I also have a CZ 550Premium rifle in 30/06. Kinda heavy, but very reliable and accurate.
