1) who's actually interested
2) the most central location (with good riding) for a meet taking into consideration all members' locations ex: deal's gap always a great idea
3) the best time for a meet
4) any events

I’ll spend hours on end and 3 or 4 tanks of gas waaaaayyy out by my lonesome on some stretch of Tater Holler back road running a good set of twisty’s over and over again until I master that stretch of pavement to my limits..Then I’ll come home and sit in my garage drinkin a cold one primping and tuning my bike until the sun comes up just staring at that magic piece of technological adrenaline. I long for the times when you get a good group of sport riders together and spin out through the hills breaking the rural silence with the screaming whine of 1000cc’s of pure Type A personalities…I think, dream and salivate at the thought of getting on my bike for the pure ride as much as I can. Are there times when I like to ride slow down the strip and get the cat calls and hoots from the onlookers who will never know the thrill of the twisty’s or buzz of adrenaline I feel every time I hit the start button. Yes there are and I’ll take the twisty’s over the attention any day, any time. If you feel threatened by that then you can kiss my tight sculpted ass !!

Back to Bikeweek. I was there last year and man was it crowded. We had to stay at a hotel that was 40 miles away because there were no rooms available. I have to say this by far was one of the best threads I have read in a long time... laughed my ass off... and it was soooo very true...

Now on the aspect of bike week... unless you plan to ride there and ride home.. the hotel situation is not favorable... and many a bike have been stolen there... I was thinking of going but I can't find a safe hotel... and Daytona is a long drive from the East Coast... with traffic and all ( because we all know you have to ride the bike there)...

But anyways... anything you plan will not please everyone so just pick something and go from there...

Well if we shoot for late Spring it can get pretty rainy that time of year...So we should probably come up with three different meet up points so we have alternates due to weather..

Chattanooga, TN
Charleston, WV
Lexington, KY

I'm trying to keep the locations Eastern seaboard centralized so no one would have to drive more then 15 hours...But I guess we're effectivly leaving out the West coast people in that arena..Anybody got any other suggestions?? Well if ya'll choose Tennessee....or anything else that far away from Florida... I can't go unless you do it in the middle of the month...I work in accounting and I can't get away for the days it would take to get there at the end of the month...

On the guy thing... if I was riding anywhere as long as it would to take to get to Tenn...1 i would never do that by myself... and 2 my husband would have to come ride with me and he rides a Honda...lol

Well it's not in the spring. Road Atlanta is Sep 1 and VIR is the weekend before that. Mid Ohio is also another option, that's in late July or early August.

So why would you all want to meet in Chattanooga? I live in TN, and can tell you that chattanooga about 90% slums. It's just about an hour from Deals Gap, why not just go there? Knoxville is about an hour from Deals Gap also, and is a city that isn't so big you have to drive an hour to get across.

I may be in for something like that. Recently, there was a post about people meeting at Deals Gap this month...but the thread died, and the date came and went without much ado. I did go to the Gap that weekend, but I'm close enough to drive there and back home in the same day. There were no more gixxers there than the avg day and I didn't meet anybody from this forum.
