It will not help you top speed unless you have large hp increases over stock. A pipe aint enough. You need 180-200 hp to see noticeable gains and be able to redline the stock gearing (which will propel you well over 200 mph). Gixx4Life 08-20-2002, 10:50 PM Went from stock (17/40) to 17/43 to 16/43 to 16/40 and now I'm at 18/40. Your chain will fit and the bike will run smooth but I don't think the 200 mph run will happen (I agree with the "hp" issue). Could be that I'm used to having a wild beast between my legs, but it's too tame for me. When I get off the 1000 and hop on the BUSA I still want it to have that "Whoa Nelly" feel. Needless to say I'm switching back to either 16/40 or 17/43. The top end run was ok, but now back to more fun! | ||
