: Just wondering. Busa Wheelies?

I was just curious. Is it easy to wheelie a busa? I mean, some bikes just about anybody can get on it and ride a wheelie. Wasn't sure if it was easy or not. I guess I mean power wheelies, no clutch. Just curious, not trying to be a squid or anything.

It can wheelie easily. Probably not as easy as a Gsxr 1000 or Honda 954 or R1 but still fairly easily. I don;t bring it up to the balance point though-I'm a chicken shit. I bring it up in 1st around 2 feet and ride it out about 20-30 feet. Or I bring it up in 2nd with throttle only and ride it for a few seconds and let it slowly fall back down. Have brought it up in 3rd before under throttle alone but that's getting too damned fast for me. graemlins/sbike.gif

Busa's wheelie really easily in the first three gears. Imagine.. The bike doesn't even weigh 500lbs. with about 160hp! It will wheelie on the crack of a throttle. Even a GoldWing can pull wheelies. Power to weight ratio! images/icons/grin.gif

1st gear is so beastly, u can hold wheelies easily out, and then in 2nd and 3rd you can do with just throttle. not as easy as a 1k or 750 or maybe even 600 but, i do 2nd and 3rd gear stand ups all the time.

I just went -1 on my front sprocket and nearly looped it in 2nd gear with throttle only. Ist gear just comes up WAYYYY too easy now. Not sure if I like this...Ok maybe I do... graemlins/yumyum.gif

I can pull the back off the ground, what's the big deal. Don't like to do it at high speed because I did pay for the bike. images/icons/rolleyes.gif
It is almost impossible unless you lean forward, grip the bike with your legs and jerk the rear up up and away.....
I've only done a few because with my luck I'll break the back rim when it lands. It is kind of loud when it slams back down images/icons/mad.gif

most stock 600's dont go up with throttle only (unless you sit way back and jerk it up)..

I always hear the big thing about the busa is not the power wheelie, but the burn outs man THE BURN OUTS without any braking.. holy holy power burn outs

Last week a guy that rides with us did a great stoppie...or atleast is was great untill he went too far forward and the bike came crashing down, and spilled its blood all over the road and had to be towed home.....a busa is not a stunters bike of choice. graemlins/sbike.gif
