Go to www.suzukihayahbusa.org (http://www.suzukihayahbusa.org) and do a search. I know I've seen a "how to" w/ pics on that site. WHat is the benefit of this mod?

I posted a question about this mod a few weeks ago, and aguy that works in a shop told me that every time he has done it he has gotten 4-5 HP.

Hey guys, anyone have detailed instructions for removing the pair valve on the BUSA. I did it to my gsxr750 but my buddy has a 2000 BUSA and he wants to do the mod. I looked at it the other day and it is quite a bit different than the 750. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks

removing the pair valve does not give you power gains.....what may give you power gains is the pair sucker mod.

Thats what I meant, doing the pair sucker mod.

OK what's the diff? Would you get the hp increase if you were stock?

The difference is that you can just remove the pair valve or you can remove it and install a T fitting in its place and route a hose from the T fitting to the crankcase breather. This will result in a slight vacuum being applied to the inside of the crankcase. The theory here is that the vacuum allows the pistons to move more freely, thereby increasing power a little. One guy told me the increase was around 4-5 HP on the Hayabusa.

Hmm maybe in the fall I'll do this. I asusme I could find info out on www.suzukihayabusa.org (http://www.suzukihayabusa.org) if I did a search?

The removal is easy, block off plates and yard that shit out!
The sucker mod I'm not completely familiar with but if it fails it can have an opposite affect.

I talked to a guy at exotic cycles and he suggested that I use the sucker mod, he said that is what they do to there busas and it adds a "couple" of hp. I just removed it though. You have to reset the idle after removing it though. It is pretty easy. Unbolt the pipes (above the header) put some block off plates over them, unbolt the pair valve (3 bolts) then remove the 1 hose that goes to the air box and plug it, and remove the other hose that goes to the throttle bodies and plug it. I got my the block off plates and all of the stuff from racingreaper@hotmail.com he was very help full and I got the stuff quick. He also sells other things e-mail him.
