I've had adobo, pig's blood, and a bunch of other Pinoy power dishes, never balut. A good friend of mine is Phillipino. In Middle School (where I met him) I came over to his house and he asked me if I wanted a hard boiled egg. I said sure. He gave me that, I cracked it open, and once I saw what it was I dropped it. The baby embryo scared me. Now when we go out I tell him how he raises chickens in his back yard.

All we do is crack on each. If we go out he'll ask we what rock song they are playing over the radio. Shu Pao (sp) is pretty awesome too, but I think it's a Chinese dish. Balut is nothing but NASTY! I could only drink the juice and eat the egg white part. Yuck!!!

Have you had a Vietnamese spring roll (rice wrap, rice noodles, basil?, beef, and shrimp) with the peanut butter sauce?

There is another version called BBQ rolls, same thing, only more beef - sauteed? and a plum/vinegar sauce. Ahhhhh yeahhhhhh!

Never tried the Vietnamese versions. Sounds pretty good! Has anyone ever heard of that sausage Langonisa(sp)? It rivals Brats, dude!

Its actually not peanut butter sauce. Its fish sauce with penuts in it. There is also another version without the fish sauce. The sauce is basically surgar and penuts. Both sauces are sweet and sour and spicey. Varies depending on the style of the guy making it.

The yung duck egg isnt too bad. It gets nasty when the duck gets big. Feathers starts to develop. Its basically a boiled egg though. Theres the yoke a yellow part(semi hard-still taste like an egg yoke but less powdery and smoother tasting). The white part of the egg turns hard and crunchy. Its nice and soft when its the egg isnt too developed. And all arund that theres water floating about. Thats like the plecentia (afterbirth)....yummy lol

Where is a good bike shop to check out next time i go to manilla. I saw Motoworld by Greenhills but it was already closed when I got there.

bike gear shop you mean? motoworld sells rs taichi and spidi suits, helmets like shark, caberg, and zeus... i also have a small bike gear shop... arai and a few suomy and shoei helmets, arlen ness/berik/madif suits and gloves (which is motogp brand there in the states), and i think i'm one of the first to import michelin pp 2ct's into the country. the ducati dealership also has some dainese and alpinestars stuff. but relative to what you have available in the states, bike gear here is very hard to find.

kasama sa riding ang mga sira ulong drivers dito hehehe add to that yung mga scooter/underbone riders na makukulit! they'll see naka big bike ka na pilitin ka pa karerahin :hammer the usual riding routes if you're from the city... tagaytay-nasugbu, batangas route if you want fast sweepers, north expressway if you wanna stretch your bike's legs (300++kph walang huli!) plus they will be opening the new clark-subic highway, and for the daredevil in you--there is marilaque in tanay.... puro twisties! almost every week may crash statistic dun! it gulped down a k6 1k, 1098, 954rr, etc... latest is another ducati. nahulog sa bangin yung bike and rider! well you know how crazy it is here in the country! ingat lang kayo dyan! madami ba san miguel dyan? :cheers
