Is there a differance, performance wise, from a K&N to a BMC? I've had a K&N for over a year now and always thought it was a better performer than stock, but I've been hearing everywhere that there is no gains over stock, performance wise, from the K&N. I just wanted to know if I would actually GAIN anything from putting out the $$$ for the BMC, or if I should just stick with my K&N. And is the BMC reusable like the K&N? Thanks for the help!

yes the BMC is reuseable, the BMC does flow more air, but it also allows more dirt through

k&n is a great air filter. if you dont live in a high dirt/dust area you can run the bmc. if you are looking for performance out of a air filter you should look else where. just run the bmc. hell its your bike run what u want http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

The stock air filter gives no restriction on a gsxr airbox. Had same power with all 3 filters as without one at all. The aftermarket ones are reusable though which is good.

i find it funny because it says for offroad use only on the disclaimer thingy

BMC makes the air filters for formula 1 cars, K&N makes them for street vehicles, you figure out which one will last in street conditions better

if your due to buy one then get the bmc. but if your not in need of one yet then save your money..you wont see any HP increase.
