How fast do those Busa's of yours go anyway?

I've tagged the rev-limiter in 6th gear plenty of times with stock gearing.Probaly mid 190's. You can't go by the speedo,'cause it accurate at those speeds.I need to invest in a good GPS so I know for sure. Anybody else want to back this up?After I break in the new engine,& with the right gearing,it should see the better end of 205.

I'm hoping!I was getting kind of bored with it,so I had to put some excitement back into it.Maybe I'll go turbo next year.I know MOTORHEAD has seen the better side of 240mph with his!!

I've seen 186 mph uncorrected. I just ordered a yellowbox so I'll now have the true speed. Oh yeah, things happen pretty fast at that speed!!! images/icons/grin.gif

Where? A good buddy of mine owns a '99 Lambo Diablo and he's never been able to get past 185 without the real threat of dying and we're in California...if u could do it, I'm pretty impressed at da size of your balls.

Dude, can you put a sigma in ur bike and show us? I'd like to see that. images/icons/smile.gif

One of these days I'll break down and get a camera mount and show you guys a 190+ pass BUT to be honest if you hang around the Hayabusa boards long enough well it kinda makes you feel bad about wanting to even admit to a messily 192 MPH pass.

Where you ask? How about the New York State Thruway! Ther are plenty of roads that are long enough.Just gotta do it w/ no traffic. The 'Bus only needs about a mile and a half 2 miles at the most to hit top speed. The Lambo will take considerably more time to reach that and my guess is he would need at least twice that distance.Gotta remember, modded 'Busa's are going thru the 1/4 at 150 plus,so your well on your way to 200 soon after that. What the hell is a sigma?

Fastest I've ever heard for a bone stock Busa is 194mph, and I believe that was Cycle World's original 99 test, but I'm not sure. Most have it right at 190, give or take a couple mph. It really doesn't take that long to get up to that speed on the Busa, that's the beauty of it.

I've only had mine up to 160 so far, but then again only have 1300 miles and bought it a couple months ago and the weather has sucked most of the time. I've got a Yellobox and GPS. I can post my results as soon as I have a chance to test.

I just got my Busa's break-in service done w/
re-mapping. Going down the M1 (England,U.K.) motor way towards London, GPS speed 202 MPH. Can't wait for a Power Commander 2, & Yoshi or M4 slip-ons. At 60 mph it took less than 15 sec. to get there. Hell Yeah! images/icons/grin.gif
