I have to agree that....Busa's do suck....My X-Busa only had 165rwhp and 102ftlbs tq....almost pulled your arms out of socket when twisting the throdle open.....pulled real hard at 160mph and just wanted more....yup....it was one major kick in the ass to ride....but Busa's still suck only because it cost alot of money to replace tires while haveing so much fun riding one... images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif

Yeah and the 600's wouldn't be bad if they had another 30 hp.

Yep, my bike sucks...
It sucks the air out of the path for that puny girly man baby bike of yours!

Let's face it, nobody lives and drives on Deals Gap everytime they ride, it's impossible.
Nobody drives on a track every day unless that is their job.

So that leaves everday, normal street riding on mostly straight roads which for most riders will result in a broken bike and a trip to the hospital or morgue.

Conclusion, well over 90% of all common riding situations will result in a Busa spanking your ass, and that feels good...
Unless the Busa Pilot sucks and the bike is stock. But from my experience, most riders suck at one thing or another. images/icons/grin.gif

GIXXERIFIC,your commenting on a 'Busa and you ride a 600?My little sister rides a 600.Thats a beginners bike. For guys learning to ride. And in that case yeah, then the 'Busa would be to heavy for you.Have you ever ridden one? I doubt it. If you did then your comment would have been:Holy shit! That thing is faster then my 600,and I didn't even shift into 2nd gear yet! images/icons/rolleyes.gif

They are huge, I'm sure they are fast, no I've never ridden one. I wasn't trying to start a flame war just commenting on the size and weight of them which is fine for you but not for me. Not that it's bad. Ive sat on them and they are just too big wide whatever for me. I like them as far as bikes go it's just not for me thank you very much.

I was just playing anyway's. Jeesh you are so touchy. images/icons/tongue.gif

I'm happy enough with little pussy faggot wannabe little sister riding 600 too so there. graemlins/poke.gif

Guys, I am working on a custom sportbike based on a 'Busa frame. I am still up in the air as far as engines go, but I was thinking I might use a Chrysler 225 ci straight 6, or a Ford 300 ci straight six. I figured that I could bore cylinders .60 over, and with lightweight hardware could get somewhere in the neighborhood of 320 hp at the rear wheel. My only problem is that I can't find a chain that can withstand that kind of horsepower. Any ideas??? images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif images/icons/grin.gif graemlins/flamethrower.gif

There is nothing better than seeing a guy talk trash about how he'll smoke a busa in the "tight" stuff get passed in the tightest turn on the outside. Your bike makes no difference if you can't ride..

The best thing to say to someone who doubts the busa,"I'm sorry I thought you could ride..."

Think about a V-6 vs straight. Have you gone to a boneyard and looked at a ford 300? They are just about as big as a v8.......tons of torque but the HP figures for a straight 6 can't be much. Workhorse of a damned engine I tried for 6 years to kill a Ford van I had that had a 300 in it.

And yeah Busa's suck....when it snows.....

530 should hold it I think that's what the turbo bikes are still running but if you aren't secure with that buy the 630 chain and it'll hold what that little 6 cylinder can throw at it. BTW good luck gettting a 6 cylinder anything to bolt up to a Busa frame.(hint it's too narrow)

DUDE there is nothing pussy about a 600!!
Ok so there are faster bieks out there yes. but any modern 600 sport bike R6, cbr, zx-6, and the gixxer. are all very fast 12 second bikes.
12 second ETs on a two wheeled object between your legs if plenty to get my heart pumping.

Its all what you like and what works best for you. better does not allways mean faster. ya know? its all opinion man.

I finally got to really ride a busa while I wait for my parts to come in for my 750. Tell you what I love my 750 but if I put in any more time on this bike, my father will be hard pressed to get it back from me. It rides real nice, even in the turns she feels sure and true. I like it alot, think I might get one for everyday commuting and leave the 750 for the mountains.

People under estimate the 'Bus and it's handling.Just remember, what kind of bikes were out there before the first SRAD 750 came out in '96?Heavy bikes like the old 750 1100 GSXR'S.People did fine on those bikes in the corners.Just because todays bikes are lighter and "handle better" doesn't mean that the average owner will ever explore these limits.I hold my own in the corners with my 'Bus and have NO PROBLEM leaving 25ft. darkies coming out of tight turns. After people see that they tend to change their opinion about the "heavy, slow handling Hayabusa". Anybody can go fast on a modern sportbike. They make great riders faster and newbies think their invincible on one. However,it takes SKILLS to go fast in the tight stuff and hang with the 1000's in their domain on a 500lb. 'Bus. So there it is.'Busa's ain't slow in the corners. You just have to know how to ride one!! images/icons/smile.gif
