I currently have a 01 1000 that I rode on the street a couple years but now is only used for a track bike. I have a 03 1000 that I use for a street/stunt bike. I know that the 03 has a lower balance point then my 01 so I feel it is a better stunter. (safer wheelie bike). I am considering a new 05. I was wondering if anyone here could shed some light on this for me? Is the 05 balace point about the same as the 01-02? Or is it even higher? I have heard that it is not as good a stunter due to the weight pushed foward and the swing arm slightly lenghtened for better off the line acceleration. Please only answer if you really know.

I had the K3 and now have the K5....the K5 BP feels about the same as the 03. It seems the 03 pulled up alot easier than the K5 tho.....I usually power up in second. Don't get me wrong the K5 comes up plenty fast but the K3 seemed a little easier. The K5 is alot more balanced and definitely more fun!!!!!!!!!

Hmm, that's pretty weird. I've always felt that the BP on my 01 was lower than my K4. It always feels like I gotta pull my K4 clear up to my chest before she'll balance out. Damn near 11 o'clock just to hit BP.

I have hours of video footage on both bikes and it it very odvious that I am balanced a good 3-4 inches lower on the 03.

Honestly, with proper stunt technique, it really doesnt matter. Get good on whatever you choose, and it wont matter at all "where the BP is"

Well, it sure doesn't feel like it. But who can argue with video footage? Not me. Got any you want to email me?
