Yes, it's possible but unless you're drag racing it (on a drag strip, not from red lights), it'll only decrease your handling dramatically and make you look like a Biker Boyz wannabe...

...I thing the Gixxer.com store has swing arm extensions, look at the top right of the page for the "Store" link

here is what my 02 gsxr 750 stretched 5.5 inches looks like with bolt on extensions.. and bolt on extensions are strong, ryan schnitz races is built zx9 with extension to an 8.9"

See I'm goin for looks and not handling. Remember I live in florida where its stoplight to stoplight or seeing how far you can ride your 12 o'clock. Really dont want a wheelie ticket

Can I ask how much it costs just to strech it out? As far as parts go....labor is like 80/hr down here

Just stretching it out? You need extensions, extended brake bar, and an extended chain,... it takes about 45minutes to transistion between stretched and stock length.. i dont know dollars per hour, i do all my own work... do it yourself if you know how to use common tools

extensions are the cheaper way to go. but it all depends how long you want to stretch your bike. my 750 stretched 9 over with a 3-9 adjustable from myrtlewestcycle.com.
or you can look on candscustom.com for swing arms.

yep extensions are cheaper, ryan schnitz raced a zx-9 of his with 6-9bolt on extensions to the tune of 8.9s with no problems... they are reliable

we offer weld in extensions to all our customers....a bolt on extension is nowhere near as strong as a welded extension...if anyone is interested give us a call and i will happily go over the details and prices...be sure to mention GDC!!! 803.285.8093
