Team Zuke,

i have a question for you smart guys. i was talking with someone the other day and they were telling me you can get a cheap pocket pc or data hand held thing and install the power commander software (i think the unit has to have windows 95 or earlier) so if you are out riding and the weather is humid you can change your map or make any modifications on the spot. then of course it being so small you can put it in your jacket. this would be great if say you are at the track or street racing and you need to make some adjustments. i did have an issue where i lost my map riding and instead of waiting til i get home could have checked it on the spot.

benefits;
-loading a map
-changing a maps
-modifying a map
-sharing a map
-getitng some else's map
-etc...

have any of you guys set something like this up??

The Powercommander software utility is a pretty simple program. Just make sure that it runs on Windows CE (Mobile 2003). It obviously doesn't say that it supports this version in the documentation. But feel free to try it, also, not all lower end Pocket PC's have a USB connection.

They make an adapter for Palm. I haven't seen anything that work on a MS device yet. Honestly, though, you are kind of wasting your time. You will hardly ever use it and blindly making changes to your map without logging appropriate data is useless and potentially dangerous. It isn't worth the investment.

yeh it is for palm, it could be used on the fly in conjunction with one of these but you would need a long straight road without traffic - get my drift

I know they make a palm adapter for the PC, but I'm not sure if they make one for the wideband analyzer. If they did, you could add an O2 bung and a wideband O2 with that, and be able to analyze on the fly too.

I used to run the Yosh EMS on my busa, nice little 3map switch on the handlebar, dynojet needs to have an add on like that.
