Hey guys i just bought my 2004 gsxr, got 3000kms on the clock. I notice when im going 70km up theres a constant ticking noise from the engine when the throttle is steady like at 4000rpm. if you give it a hit u cant hear it, but steady throttle and 110 its just constant. It sounds like the piston is tapping on the barrowl. its had the 1000km service, and i bought it off a guy, clean and brand new. Is that common in the gixxers? im filling up bp ultimate hi octane fuel. Does that make a diff?

the bike is loud. period. might want to try lower octane fuel for your 600. might seem to run better.

gixxers seem to tick, don't know why...maybe one of the "I know everything there is to know" guys around here can explain but I can't.
