I am converting my 05 750 to a race bike and I am looking for bodywork that will fit with the factory bodywork also. So if I want to switch to my headlight and stock upper to stock so I can ride on the street, I want to be able to leave my race side(lower) fairings on and if I want to go to the track I can just switch the upper to the nonheadlight race bodywork. I would also like a race bodywork tail section that will fit with the taillight still on if that exists (supersport version??).
I noticed on indysuperbikes.com that SharkSkinz makes "Street" and "Race" bodywork. Am I looking for the "Street" version?

the street version of the sharkskins has a cut out for the headlight. i dont know any one who makes race bodywork that bolts up to the stock upper fairing.. race bodywork comes in 3 pieces.. the upper, belly, and tail.. just get yourself a set of godfather bodywork and switch the entire set out when you want to go on the street.. www.godfatherracing.com (http://www.godfatherracing.com) tell them i sent ya.
What you want doesn't exist. On race plastics, the lower is a one-piece design that bolts to the upper; it doesn't attach to the bike itself, except for possibly a screw on the bottom right if you feel like it. So you'd be taking the lower off when you replaced the upper anyway.
Like BMF said, just get one set of each. That also saves your street body from the abuse racing will put on it.
Also check out GP Composites bodywork. I run a set on my racebike and love it. www.gpcomposites.com (http://www.gpcomposites.com), and Team Skinny sent ya. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif
