Ride. 08-04-2005, 03:28 PM Well that's good for you. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/applause.gif
Please stay as far away from a 750 as you can until you've had a few years on other bikes. The 250 and 500 are both excellent choices. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
Welcome to the site, Bryan. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif <-- root beer. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
fun2fly 08-04-2005, 03:28 PM Welcome aboard. Sounds like you have a good attitude to start out. No need for a litre bike right off the blocks. Good luck and keep us posted as to the progress. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif
gixxerman 08-04-2005, 03:29 PM Welcome to GDC. Sounds like you got a plan. My hat goes off to you for choosing a smaller bike first and working your way up and for wanting to take the msf course. Stick with your plan and you'll be on that 750 in no time.

Bryan'sGixxer 08-04-2005, 03:42 PM thanks guys for the warm welcoming. ANyway I got another question. Is there any limitations on taking the msf or to get a motorcycle license age wise. I was only wondering because you know im only 16 and I don't they'll take me seriuosly down there at the local DMV being I'm so young.
Bryan'sGixxer 08-04-2005, 04:23 PM BUMP
iluvdagxr 08-04-2005, 04:24 PM I got my motorcycle endorsement when I was 16. It's really not that hard as long as you have something small to use for the test.
Blipstein 08-05-2005, 12:53 AM Welcome to GDC. You'll be just fine with that attitude....as long as your not just saying what you think people just want to hear.
Good luck
japSW20 08-05-2005, 02:40 AM your off to a good start,The MSF is mandatory in florida if your under age,I suggest you take it first then go out and buy yourself a 250 or 500,also remember to save some money for gear.Im in sebring, not far from naples http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

Narcissistic1976 08-05-2005, 04:15 AM I have to say. over the last few weeks, The new members have been reading the stickys and using the knowledge of the vets in here.. Definetly good to see that some of the people are being level headed and not letting their ego get the best of them http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif.. can't say the same for myself though.. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/trout.gif

Its damm refreshing to see someone in the younger generation with some good sense. It sounds like you have a good plan... stick to it, its the right way to go. Before you go all out on this though, you should plan everything out with your parents. Its most likely that you will want to be on their auto insurance so make sure all of that is worked out BEFORE you go bike shopping.
Proper Warning: Not everyone here is nice... so if someone is an ass towards you don't get into it, just move on. Things will be much smoother for you.
Bryan'sGixxer 08-05-2005, 05:43 AM lol thanks no its just all I talk to all thease sale man and older people and they try to shove 1000's and hayabusa's down my throat and shit. they don't understand that I'm just starting out in the bike world. but anyway the 250 or 500 will have to wait for about 6 or 7 months before I can get it. I'm selling my 4-wheeler right now and them my mom and dad are gana help my buy a truck. depends either 05 silverado or avalanch but I will always keep my eyes open for a good deal. I found I 1983 suzuki 380 for $100 but it did not run so I did'nt get it
Grandevil 08-05-2005, 06:05 AM Those ARE really nice trucks to get. Have you thought about maybe getting a year or two older model used and using part of the money you would have spent on getting a 250/500 ?
Bryan'sGixxer 08-05-2005, 06:21 AM devil I said that to bad the problem is that my dad is also gana be useing the truck so he's paying half. but man my parents said as long I was smart about it they would be okay with me having a bike im so exited just a year or so. and I can get the bike. another thing is that I want to get a used 250 or 500 so I'm looking for one around the $500 range. you know since it's my frist bike and I have a small mis-have I wont be too woried about fixing the darn thing.
ride safe yall soon I'll be pulling into the bike nite parking alot and meet up with some of yall lol. just don't rip on me it's my frist bike.
