: Living in the most densly populated state in the Nation.....
SPL170db 08-04-2005, 05:16 AM Really F'ING SUCKS sometimes!!!!
I swear it's getting to point where it's almost not even fun to go riding anymore between unimaginable traffic and seemingly blind motorists. I see some of these videos of you guys that live in the midwest that post and I drool (well, not because you live in the middle of nowhere duhhh, but because of plentiful riding areas).
I'm gonna turn my K5 into a trackbike and just stare at it during the week I think. I wish a was a squid/poser that was content to ride at 30-40 mph and and not lean the bike past 60 degrees.

Good... now move...
Fireblade_Rider 08-04-2005, 05:33 AM It's getting like that around here. On the weekend though we head about 70 miles inland and it's pretty nice. Anything along the cost is out of the question.
eye-man 08-04-2005, 05:52 AM similar here in CT, we're packed in like sardines. I won't even go anywhere on Thursday or Friday after work in the summer unless I can go on my motorcycle so I can lanesplit. The whole effin state is trying to get to the shore, up north, or the Cape
johnnyblaze 08-04-2005, 06:05 AM it aint no picnic here either....

njracer 08-04-2005, 06:18 AM As much as people bitch about NJ...I like it. Everything I need is just a few minutes away. The shore is just a short rida away.....the mountains are not that far..ect.

Dude, my bike hasn't seen the NJ roads more than once this year. If I take it out, it's to go far away from here.....like to racetracks or to PA.
shuki 08-04-2005, 08:28 AM great. I'm moving up in 2 weeks to NYC area, probably SI. Guess I'll enjoy cincy while I can...

SI absolutely SUCKS to ride in. Forget about the traffic, the streets look like they've been blown up with land mines. Full of cracks and holes and shit.
shuki 08-04-2005, 09:02 AM oh nice. pour a little more gasoline in my open wound please lol
JPgix600 08-04-2005, 10:27 PM Gotta love TX! All the open roads you can stand, and cops that don't give a shit! NC ain't that bad either. I have been rather fortunate though if I say so myself. Sorry you guys can't find room to stretch your wings, but you can come visit me when I get back. I'll be taking the East coast from Myrtle Beach to Daytona with all my boys from Iraq. Kinda like a (look at all this land that is green, fertile, filled with beautiful women, and doen't smell like shit everywhere you go.) I am sooo excited if you can't tell. ONE LOVE Y'ALL!
moistmaster 08-05-2005, 01:16 AM Dude, you should try living out here in Las Vegas. Nothing but tourists who would like nothing more to do than look at the flashing lights rather than the road ahead. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif Then there is the PoPo, who like nothing more than pulling over anyone on a sportbike (They don't pull over Hardly Abelsons BTW).
Example-: My buddy got stopped the other day by a cop, the cop said that one of his headlights was out (he rides a 02 GSXR 750) My buddy tried to tell him that that's how the bike was designed, the other light come on at high beam. But Ohhhhhh Nooo http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/nono.gif this dick (and I appoligize to any Police sport bike riders) gave him a fix it ticket. WTF!! http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/cussing.gif
My buddy had to go down to the main police station and prove to the people down there that the bike is designed like that. Luckily for him there was a important guy down there that convinced the cops that that is indeed how the lights work.
Aircrftr 08-05-2005, 01:32 AM The Eastern OK/ SW Missouri / NW Arkansas area is great for riding twisties. Soooo many to choose from and not that populated either. I ride about 7 mi. of twisties every day back and forth to work. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/trout.gif
Obey the sig.... http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Thats fucking ridiculous. In CA bikes are only required to have one head light anyway.

There's alot of stupid assholes out there, unfortunately, some of them get badges pinned on them.
My friend just got an RC51, it's lights are the same way, I wonder how off his first problem with that is. I call the bike "One Eyed WIlly" because of the way it looks in my mirrors.
neffjohn 08-05-2005, 03:46 PM We have great weather in tampa, except for the daily hour long rain. problem is shitty roads and too many old people driving 20 in the 55 zone. and people looking you in the eyes as they pull out directly in front you. http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/bash.gif
ChrisNJ 08-05-2005, 08:57 PM maybe you're riding in the wrong places in nj. We take plenty of 3-4 hour round trip rides to west jersey and hardly see any cars and lots of twistie farm roads or mtn roads depending where we head. Try leaving the industrial part and you'll be fine, nj is great.
I hear Burlington County is pretty nice. Alot of farnland out there. We usually ride out to Bucks Co. PA. What part of west Jersey were you refering to?
TheSwami 08-06-2005, 01:39 AM One of my fav roads here was just covered with tar snakes. I'm bumming. Other than that plenty of places to ride here
Grandevil 08-06-2005, 03:01 AM Well that just sucks. Move to a smaller town maybe...or a state that doesn't suck. WTF is with "the shore" anyways? It's rocks and syringes http://www.gixxer.com/forums/images/graemlins/wtf.gif why the hell would you want to live there? And in the winter....snow....move down here, no snow and it's riding weather for 8 months out of the year.
njgixxer600k2 08-06-2005, 01:19 PM You should try riding from salem to cumberland county. Lots of farm lands. I likes the twisty little roads in cumberland county that run to the bay. Yeah alot of them are rough, but they are good and twisty. And if you get to know them the shitty condition of the roads just makes it more of a challange.

I have to defend nj here. Yea, its populated as hell, mostly w/ illegals, but you learn to accept that. The central part of nj is great though. You are under an hour from the best city in the world and under an hour from nice, yes nice, beaches. beaches south of the belmar area are very nice and get even nicer and more remote the closer to cape may you get. Of course i'm not talking the tropics, but cmon, you'd be hard pressed to find anything truly wonderful on the east coast anyway. Plus, we are very central to a lot of tracks, something not many places can say. We only have 4 months of piss poor weather too, it's not like we live in the arctic, we're only 8 +/- hours from you.
