cootershooter 07-27-2005, 05:44 AM so i was goin to the gas station for a soda and some lady decided to lock the brakes up and i was left the choice of rear ending her or juicin it and layin it down.....so i juiced it and layed her down, snapped my humerous bone in half...hit the curb, telephone pole, and a street sign....trashedmy helmet, my coat....and the bike....so i need a right front blinker, and a stock can please....for an 02 gixxer 750....thanks a lot 98Petey750 07-27-2005, 05:54 AM Damn! Last year I had a car pull out on me, so I tried to get around him. Ended up sideswiping the rear of the car and landing in a culvert. Yeah - and in 99 out of 100 cases it's not "choosing to lay the bike down" - it's panicing and lock up the brakes so the bike crashes... When in most cases it could have been avoided by braking hard but controlled, then steering around the obstacle... ...been there, done that - both reactions... The latter comes with experience R.U. Not a good bone to break. 3 screws and a bone grapht it is good as new. Though it does kind of hurt when I wack off. On the good side my gear saved my life and not a bit of road rash. "i had to lay it down" Embrassment over having made a squid mistake - if you brake hard, lock up the wheel(s) but let go fast enough, nothing happens - but you have to have praticed braking a lot or be damn lucky.
