Just wondering if anyone has tried an iridium shield on their Arai helmet. I've heard they're a waste of money on acount the iridium layer comes off easy.

I don't have Iridium. I have a gold "Mirrorized" and it's great. Looks sick! Shields sun great. When I clean it shines!

yeah the iridium shields are a waste of $$$ (unless you are rather rich an dont care) or a poser.

The iridium wears off easily, if you ride often and you end up cleaning the shield of bugs all the time, th iridium starts wearing away.. both my agv helmets have chrome tinted visors (not iridium) and they have lasted some time without the tint wearing out, only just dont get any scratchs, as they stand out alot more, the visors cost me $50 AUD, so they would probaly cost around $20US..

iridium sucks,, plain and simple,, looks good for a while but they scratch REAL easy..

if u want poser value,, go for those INSANE looking holographic covers..

Well, I've heard nasty nasty things about Arai and Iridium. A friend of mine at a parts counter told me that the Iridium wipes off SUPER easy. The only GOOD thing about em is you can wear them day or night, it's legal at all times. I'm not sure about the chrome ones.

the iridium ones suck. I have a blue one and the shit comes off constantly. It is the biggest waste of money I have spent on my bike stuff this far. I can send you a picture if you want. Just let me know!

Where can I get a chromed visor. The Iridum one sucks. It went from blue to rainbow, in no time flat. Scratches so damn easy.

I suggest a hologram visor.......I have an Iridium on one helmet and " Snake Eyes" holographic on the other visor. I interchanged both on my Arai. I like both but the hologram gets the most attention and its just a stick on to the underside of the viser.

I've had an iridium visor on my AGV helmet for the last Year, and I've had 0 problems with it scratching. You can see bugs on it more easily, but all in all it was a great buy.

Where can I check out some of the holographic shields? any website or link would be great
