Hey Ladies,
I want to surprise my wife with a new bike. She loves the Gixxer! Does anyone of you ride the new 1000? I know the narrower seat is great for shorter guys and girls. She is 5'6", I don't know her inseam. I guess I will have to get that. I am just looking for a comparison to the 600 and 750 gixxers.
Thanks,
Ron

all current gsxr's have the same seat height, the reach to the bars is what is usually longer on the bigger bikes

Thanks, I am in the Army and we are living in Germany. Going to a Suzuki shop is a pain over here.

I sat on the new 1000 at the bike show. I am 5'6 and I could touch flat foot. It is a very tiny bike. I ride an 05 750 (tip-toe) and sometimes ride my hubbies 04 1000. They are both very fun to ride.

Thanks, I have to order the bike form the states. Your help makes it easier for me to go ahead and order her one.

I hope she's a highly skilled rider. I hardly trust my K5 in my own hands and I've been riding for 15 years. As far as seat height and reach to the bars it's actually quite accomodating.
No offense to any of the ladies here. I might've just put my foot in my mouth. :-\

She's got some seat time. She was riding a Yamaha 50cc dirk bike at age 3. She is going to be 30 this year. I have been riding for 15 years also, cruisers mainly. I don't think I could trust myself. I don't think these ladies will be too mad! I just bought my daughter a 110cc Super Pocket bike. I just have to find her some small Suzuki stickers and graphics.
Thanks to everyone that has helped me.
