Hey all, does anyone have the new Suomy Spec 1R helmet? I'm thinking about picking this puppy up cause its trick out and lighter then the arai rxxxxx something something. Any imputs?

I've never seen the Spec 1R helmet yet.. I'm getting the Ben Bostrom Laguna Seca Rep next month for $475. Canadian.. I hear that they are light, comfortable helmets that are not too expensive. The only negative feedback I heard was that the Visor's are kinda hard to change and the plastic teeth break easy.. images/icons/frown.gif

yeah i heard the same thing, but the Spec1R dosent' have that problem cause its a quick release race model.....you can check em out at suomy.com... the spec 1r models only have 3 choice of replicas, and i don't like any of em!

I think the your choice is the best replica, but it dosent come in spec 1r

You probably won't see the Spec1R's come to the USA until Mayish. They do only come in the Goorbergh, Biaggi, and Capirossi. They will also be available in solids. Personally, I'd get a white one and get a killer custom paint job done. But, the Capirossi is pretty bad ass in person. The helmet rocks - wait until you see the inside and try it on.
