Is it really worth the extra money? What is the major difference? I'll be using them mostly on the street and occasionally on the track. What do you guys think?

The Vert 2's are a great boot & they're about 70 bucks less than the Vert Race boots. You should be fine with the Vert 2's. Call Todd at Kneedraggers (http://www.kneedraggers.com) and tell him you're from Gixxer.com. You should be able to get a 10% discount off retail.

The Vert2's have a cool feature that allows you to adjust the back of the boot to your calf size. Pretty sweet. The Vert Race has that anti-torsion brace that runs up the outter side of your boot. The only problem I had was that they were a bit uncomfortable on my ankles. Of course, I have screwed up feet and ankles, so take it for what it's worth. Overall, they are both excellent, but I would go for the Vert2 over both Vert because it is too basic especially if using for track, and over the Vert Race because the braces seem to rub and get uncomfortable over a period of time.

Except they probably don't have them in stock, they have problems getting them from the distributor, they charge your CC immediately and then jerk you around forever.
