I was interested in swaping the bulbs on my 600. I want something that is brighter than the stock units. I was wondering if I could run a bulb above 4000K range without a HID conversion. For instance the Silverstar H4 ST is in the 4000K color range and they claim that a HID kit isn't needed, but if I jump over the 4000K range will I need a HID kit? Please help, thanks in advance.

Also does anyone know the stock wattage of the bulbs when on Low and High beam. I'm afraid of burning up the wiring harness or even worse, the whole bike. Thanks again.

stock wattage is 55 i believe
