I wear a 1989 T-Pro Armour suit under my Z Custom leathers which I really like (from experience) but I am wondering if a change would be safer.

I don't know how to compare the options quantitavely. CE test results? I haven't found a complete "comparison road test".

I see some big name racers wear Bohn etc but I'd like a chest protector also. Dainese has this and so does the new T-Pro. Anybody have the Impact Safe-T armour?

I have a paralyzed friend and it really gets you thinking........... images/icons/shocked.gif

If you've ever read "The Hurt Report" the chest is usually the part of the body that gets the worst damage in a accident...
Atleast Street accidents...

It would probably be safer to get something a little more up to date than 13 years old. images/icons/grin.gif

Z has a backprotector that they can build a pocket in your suit for. That's what I have (the large one). It works out well. I don't have to take the protector on and off separetely. It comes on and off with the suit.

I don't see how chestprotectors can protect anything other than your ribs (important to racers - and to us, but less so). The backprotector will protect your spine and shoulderblades. The former would be what paralyzes you.
