Hey guys, just wondering, if I were to purchase a leather suit with no 'pocket' for a backprotector, what could I do to have one in there? Is it possible to fit in a kidney belt/back protector suspenders kinda thing under a suit? Or would it be way to tight....there is no way I can get a bigger size either. On the other hand, is it also possible that the non strap on back protectors could hold snugly in a suit with no back pocket protector? WHEW! Dam, any ideas would be great.

O yea, and in case ya dint notice, I think back protectors are pretty important. images/icons/grin.gif

I have a teknic (sp?) back protector and it is awesome, and yes, you can fit one under the leathers if they do not have a pocket for them already.

My back protector has the shoulder straps as well as the belly strap, it is nice and snug, don't even realize it is there when I am riding.

Good Luck,

KNOX or Bohn make the best back protection system's. If your leather's are REAL tight, I doubt either will fit---but both are the best going.

After I crashed, I won't ride w/o mine, didn't even feel the asphalt..got a Sidi, but I think the Bohn, pronounced Bone, will be my next choice..The Sidi has a kidney belt, that's not designed real well, imho..and yeah, they are thin enough that they should fit under your suit, unless it fits reat tight to begin with..

Which awsome one is that? I paid a little over 100 sumthing bucks for my Dainese Space 1/2/3.
Try www.dainese.be (http://www.dainese.be)
Good prices, only thing you gotta pay is the dang customs fee from UPS or whatever delivery service.

Do it the right way...buy your back plate first, then wear it while determining your measurments for a suit.

I'm using the Bohn Carbon Kevlar model and I think it would fit under any suit...even a snug fitting one. It's not as thick as other models but does look like it would offer very good protection.

Hey Rbike..how long ya had your Bohn..? I'm thinkin of replacing my Sidi...anything bad about it...???

As for gettin a back protector, then a suit to fit,,yep, that's what I'd do, I let a friend try on my protector, under his Spyke suit, and it wound up being pretty tight..

By the way, these guys are suppose to have pretty good deals on the Bohn, local racers in Lancaster, Ca..www.whitebuffaloracing.com

From what I have seen, Bohn and Knox are great back protectors. However, I know Dainese makes good products and there's a store in town that is selling the 7-plate protector for $120. Good deal or go with Bohn or Knox?

It fits nicely under my suit too, couldn't resist trying it on. images/icons/smile.gif

I couldn't afford a lot and wanted to get totally covered in protective gear so I got a tecknic at www.newenough.com (http://www.newenough.com) (they sell tons of new stuff there, they should change their name!)

I think it was $20 something... mine fits easily under my leathers but I don't care for how high up on the chest they placed they velcro straps because I am a girl images/icons/smile.gif so I just place it and then undo the velcro and the jacket holds it firmly in place no pocket needed. The first day it bothered me and I haven't felt it since!
