a bunch of guys that i work with are all going down to e-town this weekend for a test and tune day, and they want me to come along on the bike. what i need to know is:

1. are bikes allowed to run on the same day as cars for just a test and tune?
2. what gear is needed to run (full leathers, just a jacket)?
3. for a stock height '03 1k with basic mods (exhaust, pc3), what times should i look for?

hey man I was considering going down too. maybe i'll catch you there. I'm not sure about englishtown, but at island dragway you have to have boots, leather jacket, gloves, and long pants. If you go over 120 mph or under 12 seconds??? not sure. you need full leathers.

a friend got 9.5 with his 03 1k, but it was strapped. so i'd say somewhere in the 10's would be a good time.

i just got a reply back from the guys at etown:

You need the following:
Leather or Kevlar Jacket
Full finger gloves (no holes)
Long pants (denim or leather)
Boots that go over your ankles
Full face Snell 95 or greater helmet
Tether (kill cord) between you and the bike to shut the bike off in case you become seperated from it.
Valid Motorcycle drivers license

If you go over 120 mph or quicker than 9.99 seconds than the rules are different

I also heard You dont need a teather if you bike has a tip-over switch..All newer bike do..

most of the times etown wont really bother you much....

i have run over 120mph on my 600 with jeans..lol..
but its always good to have full leathers, boots and gloves like a i have now..
